Do you offer training for a week to drop off dog at your location?
Hello Michael, thanks for reaching out! It sounds like you're describing a board & train program which we no longer offer. We have switched over to a day training model which is still immersive like boarding programs but are only 1 day a week for a number of weeks and you have a lesson with your dog at the end of the day training. We have found that day training is a very effective training format to not only fully train your dog, but gives us the opportunity to make sure that owners have all the tools they need to continue with training management, ultimately providing long lasting and reliable results. We are exceptionally happy about — and grateful for — the training that Jim and the Sit Means Sit crew in Northfield provided for our golden retriever, Noodle. When we first took her to Sit Means Sit (six months old), she was constantly pulling when we were walking her, picking up every stick, pine cone and rock along the way and then not giving it up, not sitting or staying when we tried to get her to do that…she certainly wasn’t a bad dog, just wasn’t following commands. Even after just the first training, the positive change was remarkable. Jim was terrific both in teaching Noodle and helping us understand what we needed to do. She — and we — learned our lessons and we now have a responsive dog that follows instructions pretty well. At 8 months, she is still a puppy and needs some occasional reminders, but things are light years better. Thank you, Sit Means Sit…we highly recommend!!

Well, truly AMAZING! Hercules Graduated! He had 3 AWESOME! AWESOME! Trainers. Jim, Bethany and Alexa. Then Doug just did the home visit. Truly great trainers and how they take interest in you and how you are doing and how their student is. I don’t mind paying for something that is WORTH it and you have actual proof of results from it. He is an obedient Hercules now and with me having Multiple Sclerosis I don’t fear falling over him or him pulling me in walks or even getting away from me. He is more a help now then before. Applause to the WHOLE Sit means Sit family!!! We need a dog yearly BBQ !!!!!!!!

We loved everything about sit means sit. We have 3 yr old fox red lab With so much energy never thought would be able to get him to stay in one place first lesson. What a difference Bethany the trainer was so wonderful with him then his fifth Lesson was when Jeff came over to go over anything we needed help with. He helped us with getting him to walk better on the leash. Big help if you have a hard hadn’t lab like we do I would Recommend sit means sit in a heartbeat. Thank you guys for all the help and will see you in doggy group class.
