Kendall is the BEST trainer! Our dog Bori has improved drastically after being trained by her and we’re super happy with our classes here :)
My pups love, love Ms Kendall! You can tell she is absolutely a dog lover to her core. My babies have responded so well with her and we have been able to be so much better neighborhood dogs. If you want to have well behaved puppers and be able to take them out in public with confidence, bring them here!

Eva May, my awesome Lagotto Romagnolo puppy (aka truffle dog), has been part of the Sit Means Sit (SMS) family since she was 14 weeks old, and in about 10 weeks, the growth I've seen in her has been remarkable. She's now an AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy, a Hybrid Training graduate, and at just under six months old, she's already developed enough skills and confidence to train in the Intermediate Group alongside full-grown dogs! But it didn’t happen overnight or by accident. Eva’s success reflects an enormous amount of time, consistency, patience, and genuine care from Robert, Damien, Kendall, Austin, and Lisa. Every one of them has contributed something meaningful to Eva’s development. I especially want to recognize Kendall and Damien, who have poured an extraordinary amount of time, energy, and love into working with Eva May. I have watched them challenge her, encourage her, praise her progress, and genuinely enjoy who she is as a puppy. That matters tremendously to me. I can see how much those relationships mean to Eva when her tail starts wagging as we pull up and she rushes inside to greet everyone. Austin has always been incredibly helpful and engaged as the manager; Lisa (the owner) is hands-on, working one-on-one with Eva, and has created an environment where both dogs and their people are supported, empowered, and encouraged to grow together; Robert has also been an important part of Eva’s training journey, especially during our early-morning drop-offs. What I value most is knowing how much this team genuinely loves Eva. I pay very close attention to the people I trust with my pup, and because I can see the relationships they've each built with Eva, I have complete confidence that SMS will always do right by her when I walk out the door. At this point, SMS is more than just somewhere Eva goes for training. This team has become part of the talented and loving ecosystem surrounding her as she grows up. She's their first Lagotto Romagnolo, and I can tell they took the time to study her breed. They know her, care about her, celebrate her, and continue to help me bring out the very best in her. I'm incredibly proud of the dog Eva May is becoming, and SMS deserves a great deal of credit for helping her get there. We are grateful to have them in her life and look forward to sharing many more milestones and memories with everyone at SMS as Eva grows.

I sent my 3 year old reactive doberman to the boarding classes, and attended the six months of group classes after, and here are my thoughts: If your dog has true behavioral issues, your money is better off spent with a 1-on-1 trainer. I am a broke college student and I regret that I spent the equivalent of a semester's tuition here since my dog has many of the same issues as before in the real world- yes, she can do what's expected of her in the group classes, and now I have a tool that can sort of get her attention if I catch her in time before a reaction, but the advice given there is very general when she would have benefited much more from a 1 on 1 approach to address the underlying issues. My dog was already obedient, and that's most of what was worked on in class, and while her reactivity could be managed in that very controlled setting it was difficult to translate to real world scenarios. Its partly my fault for not being able to show up to all of of the classes due to work/school; however, I felt that even when I did get a day off to attend, she would do well in class but I didn't gain the knowledge or experience that would truly help me avoid reactions on our walks/hikes. Both I and my dog needed more specific training to our scenario, which I could have gotten for the same price elsewhere. But again- the group environment might work very well for your dog if that is not the issue. I have seen very well behaved dogs there, so this is just to speak for my specific situation. I want to emphasize that I appreciate the tips and support that I was provided by the facility- it just wasn't the best approach for our situation. I feel sorry to write that I didn't have the best results because the staff is very friendly and they do well at polishing up your dog's obedience. But honestly, in my own opinion if you are looking for a solution for your dog's difficult behavior such as dog reactivity, your money would be better spent with a more individualized approach.
