Sit Means Sit Dog Training Fort Collins

Matt and the entire team at Sit Means Sit (Connor and Justin!) have been amazing in supporting us and our newly adopted pup, Finn. My partner and I adopted Finn in January 2026 at the age of 1, and he had already established some pretty difficult behaviors as a result of being shuttled around from shelter to shelter without proper training and structure (ex: extreme leash reactivity, leash pulling, playing too rough with other dogs, shying away from his face being touched, etc.). We signed Finn up for a 10 day board and train program and it not only gave us and our pup a solid foundation for his training, but it resulted in immediately better behavior. Additionally, we are able to attend weekly group training classes (on Wednesdays and Saturdays) to keep up with Finn's training, socialize him in a comfortable setting, and work through behavior hiccups in real time with the support of Sit Means Sit trainers. But the support extends far beyond the classes - Matt also constantly checks in on Finn while he's at doggy daycare at K9 Corral, making sure to reinforce his training and correcting lingering bad behaviors. This is not something we expected him to do, but it has given us such peace of mind when we drop Finn off for the day! We cannot thank Sit Means Sit enough!

Our dog, Apache, has always had some anxiety issues on top of a serious case of selective hearing, which has made training difficult for us. After exhausting all of our options, we decided to put him into the 10 day boarding and training program. When we went to pick him up and had our own meeting/training session, we were stunned at the results. Matthew was his trainer and he had done an amazing job working with Apache. He showed us everything we needed to know and made it easy for us to understand how to continue his training at home. Over the last few weeks Apache's behavior at home has drastically improved, his leash manners are excellent, and overall he just seems more confident, content and much less anxious. I would recommend Matthew and Sit Means Sit to anyone who is struggling with their dog... it's an investment into the happiness of your pet, and it's one that I am so glad we decided to make.

JoJo our 7 month old Belgian Malinois went to 10 day board training with Sit Means Sit. Matthew did an amazing job training JoJo. We were considering rehoming her before the training, I am so glad we didn't. Now we have the tools to take JoJo out to Hammers Rugby games and she heels with hands free long line and is a pleasure for all those around her. I especially appreciated the follow up training sessions and group class offering.
