We have had such a wonderful experience working with SMS and our family's 2 dogs. Our son's dog, Dewy, has greatly benefitted from working with Em. He is a rescue, who has struggled with anxiety, and reactivity issues. Almost instantly, Em was able to assess Dewy's issues and provide skilled training at each of the 5 lessons. While we continue to monitor him around strangers, he is clearly able to regulate himself now and is enjoying life. Our other dog, Tanner, is an 8-year old Labradoodle, who is a sweet, happy, exuberant boy. He loves people and most other dogs, but has some issues with some dogs, especially on walks. He really needed training and so did we! His trainer, Alex, has done a spectacular job teaching Tanner (and mostly us!) the 5 commands and how to use the e-collar and remote. Our walks have improved tremendously, to include coming when we call him, and walking so much better on the leash. We can't say enough about the exceptional training we all receiced from Alex and SMS. Now, we're looking forward to continue our training in the group classes. Worked with Marty on a 3 day program for my mixed blue heeler. Marty was great. He really spent the time at the end of training days to work through concerns I had with reactivity and my dogs behavior. After 3 full days of training I could see a significant change in my dogs obedience. He was pretty obedient before going but there was no need to repeat myself more than 1x. I feel a lot better with socializing with other dogs as well as other people and not feel on edge about how my dog will react. I have used a different board and train when I first got my puppy but this method works so much better and in turn my dog is having a lot more freedom.

Fast forward 8 years later, we got a new puppy. We didn’t even consult another trainer because of the success we had with sit means sit with our previous dog. Our puppy started with the puppy classes with Cole who was awesome throughout all puppy classes to help with just basic socialization and commands. Once the puppy turned 6 months we were able to start the advanced day train program. Cole was our trainer and he is fantastic. All the staff is phenomenal as well. He was super knowledgable and our crazy wild puppy was a new dog after training. Not in a bad way but well trained. We get so many compliments on how well trained he is and how he can be around any distraction and stay calm and controlled. Fast forward a few months later, our old dog passed anway and we decided to get a friend for puppy. We adopted a 9 month old large breed puppy who was terrified of everything and everyone. Per Cole’s advice, we waited a few months for him to settle in and trust us before we enrolled in training. At a year we enrolled again with sit means sit with Cole again as our trainer. I can’t say enough good things about Cole. He spent so much time just getting our dog to trust him and by the end of the first day of training, you could tell he had started to build a trust with my dog which was great. He took it slow with him and not only is his confidence slowly coming out, but he passed his expectations for training commands. Cole is very dedicated and wants you to excel with your dog and I can’t thank him enough for giving us and our dogs the training they need to be happy confident dogs. I know if I need any advice or help with anything Cole (and any of the other staff there) will be there to help me through it. After 3 dogs trained with them, I can say I will not do training anywhere else Our 6 year old dog just completed the 16 day immersion program with Jenny and everything went great! Jenny was phenomenal and sent us plenty of videos and updates on our dog which we really appreciated!! Everyone there is very professional and they are very helpful/knowledgeable when it comes to training. My dog pulled on the leash, dog aggressive, didn't really listen off leash and was easily distracted in busy places. Now, we feel we are able to take her more places with us and feel confident she will listen to us and not be distracted! She can even be around other dogs and not pay any attention to them. Everyone at sit means sit is so nice and you can tell they really care about you succeeding with your dog. I highly recommend sit means sit.
