I'll begin by saying that these crew of amazing people have brought hope to my family and my dog. My dog Robin is 3 years old, and she's a medium-sized dog. Robin is a very reactive dog (aggressive), I never felt comfortable taking her on hikes/walks or camping, I was even afraid of bringing new people to my place because of the way she reacted. I decided I wanted a fuller life for Robin and I, so I did my research, and I found Sit Means Sit. On the day of the first consultation, Robin was barking and reacting to everything, and everyone, but Jon, was very kind and patient with us, he even showed me a way to take control of the current situation and calm Robin to the point we could have a conversation. THAT BLEW MY MIND. From then on, I decided they were the right place for us. Blane was my introduction to the program. He was very informative, and he made me feel at ease. Judson was my follow up and was very attentive, patient and gave me a bunch of pointers. And he took Robin to a level I've never had before, he was able to grab her leash and lead her and give her commands, he even got as close as 3 ft distance from her. Robin is not perfect nor am I but these guys have given me confort on taking her on walks at the parks and being able to control her reactions. We still have a LOT of room for improvement but training takes time. Sit Means Sit has given me the tools and instructions on how to control my dog, now it's all about patience and consistency.

My English bulldog finished a 5 week training in the end of June. Although he does well with indoor commands and leash walking, when we go outside the total opposite happens. The one specific training I wanted to work on was his reactive behavior towards other dogs. I feel like this maybe could’ve been worked on a bit more in training rather than the basic sit and stay commands. I was told I would be able to go out with my dog confidently after training but he acts worse than he did before training. The last two sessions I was asked, “what needs to be worked on?” and I kept voicing how bad he reacts towards other dogs. I wish I could say I’m confident in taking him out now but I am still worried when we go anywhere in public. I bought the leash they use in training and when we went to the vet he was acting so out of control, he was choking himself and his tongue was turning blue from this. I just wish his reactive behavior would’ve been worked on more but I will keep trying!

Last May I found an 8 month old female Labrador Retriever puppy on the Adopt-a Pet website. Her owner just didn't have the time a young Lab needs on a daily basis for training and exercise and made the right decision to rehome her with someone that did. I immediately saw that Lucy was a very smart and GOOD dog but a little out of control at times, all that Lab puppy energy, but decided I definitely wanted to adopt her. All she'd need was some training, but that wasn't as easy as I initially thought it would be. YouTube videos may look easy but "real life" is more challenging. A few days later I saw a neighborhood man walking his dog that was following every command given perfectly! I asked him how he achieved that kind of behavior and he told me his dog was trained at "Sit Means Sit" in Littleton. So I called for an appointment and met with Blaine who explained the program and options. I was sold and signed Lucy up for a 5 week, 1 day per week training plan. The results were incredible after the 1st day! Lucy now walks at my pace right by my side. She resists all distractions, like bunnies, making our walks enjoyable for BOTH of us. That's just one of the many things she's learned. The facility is clean and the staff is professional. Blaine, Lucy's trainer, would talk me through everything they worked on with her that day as well as how to continue the lessons once I got her home. He was also very open to any issues or concerns I might be having with my dog. In closing, choosing "Sit Means Sit" was a great decision for me and Lucy. I'm happy with my dog, I'm happy with her training results, and I'm happy with how we've bonded using what I've learned over the past 5 weeks. I'm happy to recommend Sit Means Sit and consider it money well spent.
