I’ve been coming here for 2+ years now, and both of my dogs have gone through training here. We started with the 3-day training program, and I’ve continued with group classes every single week for the last two years. Because of this training, I have so much more freedom with my dogs. I can take them out in public, walk two big dogs at once without getting dragged down the street , take them camping, let them swim and be off leash, and have confidence that they’ll come back when I call them. More importantly, I have a much better understanding of them, and they have a better understanding of me. Are they perfect? Absolutely not. We still have things to work on, which is exactly why we continue going to class every week. But one of the most rewarding things is being out somewhere and having someone say, “Wow, your dogs are so well trained!” or “Look how well behaved they are!” THAT is what makes all the hard work worth it. Training can be stressful. There are definitely frustrating days and times when you wonder if you’re getting anywhere. But building that trust between you and your dog—and giving them the confidence to experience more of the world—is so rewarding. It makes their lives more fun, too. I’m also incredibly grateful for the community here. Everyone roots for you, wants you and your dog to succeed, and is always willing to help, answer questions, or give advice. I know I can reach out whenever I need help, and that means so much. If you’re considering training your dog here, I cannot recommend it enough. Just be prepared to put in the work, too. It’s truly a tag-team effort, but the freedom, confidence, and relationship you build with your dog make it worth every single penny.
