Sit Means Sit Dog Training Metroplex East

I rescued a very sick, hyper and anxious puppy. Lucy had horrible panic attacks when left in her cage. I contacted Sit Means Sit and had an appointment the next day for an evaluation. Lucy’s anxiety and panic attacks had caused a lot of stress for me. So much so that I questioned being able to keep her. I’m a flight attendant. I was at a loss as to what I was going to do with her while I work. I even experimented with my teenage granddaughters watching her. That turned out to be a nightmare for them and Lucy. I will now be using Sit Means Sit for boarding. I felt the best thing for Lucy was to put her in their 15 day training program. It turned out to be the best decision for both of us! Here’s a list of how it changed my sweet girl: Goes into her crate without any issues. Sometimes on her own. When someone is over or a friend’s dog is in the house, she quietly sits in her cage. If she’s in her cage while I’m working around the house, she quietly watches. No crying if I step outside. If she does bark or whine, I say quiet and she immediately stops. Eats slower. No accidents in the house!!! Knows the commands that Sit Means Sit uses and obeys them. Still working on leash training. Lucy is timid and gets spooked/distracted easily. However, she heals and sits on command. One surprise for me is how excited she gets when I put her collar on in the mornings. She will also lay on the floor or with me in my bed and nap. She never did this before. Too much anxiety. I have to say that I was concerned about the collar. Now I realize it’s absolutely necessary for training purposes. It’s very easy to work. She obeys better with it on and it doesn’t seem to bother her to have both the training collar and her regular collar on at the same time. I’m enjoying her so much more! I have fallen more in love with this sweet baby! Her personality has improved with training. I now have peace of mind and hope for the future! Thank you Sit Means Sit!!!! PS. I was ordering so many things off Amazon to help Lucy. Calming sprays, cheap training collar, calming bites, better crate bedding, training treats. So many training treats 🤦‍♀️. What a waste of money.

Our beloved 2.5 year old golden retriever/doodle mix needed to grow up a bit. He barked at everything, jumped on everyone, and was distracted in everyplace. JP gave us the best advice...enroll him in the 10 day Board and Train. It was hard leaving Scooby but it was well worth it. JP and the entire staff at Sit Means Sit are supportive, informative, and address concerns in a compassionate and diplomatic way. Because it is not just the dog that need training, but these owners as well! Most importantly, Scooby returned home with a solid foundation for us to build upon. They instilled confidence in Scooby which was badly needed. We have seen a huge difference in his behavior. It was pleasant having a house full of company lately and Scooby was calm and quiet. We look forward to attending the group lessons Sit Means Sit offers, an added benefit of this package. If you are on the fence about enrolling your dog in one of the Sit Means Sit packages, I recommend you go for it. You won't be disappointed.
