Sit Means Sit Dog Training - NorCal

I am very happy to have discovered Sit Means Sit in the East Bay. I rescued my puppy five years ago this January. He came to me with some issues with social ability among with other dogs. Over the years we have had a couple of trainers and Rocky has loved every one of them. Our new trainer Dave is no exception. He is very knowledgeable, loving, gentle, and patient with all the puppies. Rocky picked up on his spirit immediately and is always happy to see him which is displayed with a wiggly butt. Over the years one of the pieces of baggage Rocky can’t seem to get rid of is being locked in a kennel. Dave and the owner Adam seem to be the only ones that can bring him in and out of the kennel without him displaying any aggression. I am grateful to them for taking time and patience with my Rocky. He is a very sweet and loving boy and just needs some special attention which Sit Means Sit and Dave give to him. I am forever grateful to this organization and their trainers for transforming my aggressive boy into a completely different dog. Today he has three sisters that he gets along with beautifully and can be in some social situations with other dogs during our weekly trainings with Dave. Thank you for everything.

I had the pleasure of working with Marcos on my dog Cleo. We took her on the 2 week board and train and the difference in behavior was drastic. I was surprised with the results! She can pretty much go off leash on our walks. She learned the commands that Marcos discussed on the first day. I didn’t have to worry about working on training sessions with Cleo alone after that because Marcos was so kind to answer all the questions I have and was available to answer questions through text. He knows Cleo so well and knows how to meet her needs for training. The group sessions with Marcos also helped socialized Cleo and train Cleo around distractions. Would highly recommended this to anyone looking to train their dog 🙂

Marcos has been a fantastic trainer for our Rooney. We came to sit means sit for her to learn commands and be better around food, which she sometimes resource guards. Rooney came back to us after her two weeks away a new puppy- she learned all her commands and was so much better around her food! Marcos did an amazing job with her, including after her training was over, meeting with us every few weeks to repeat the commands and really make sure she learned, even an in-home visit! Even today she does a great job recalling her commands. Not only that, Marcos and Rooney developed a wonderful friendship & she’s so excited whenever she gets to see her buddy! Thank you for being such a wonderful trainer to Rooney, Marcos!
