Sit Means Sit Dog Training North Alabama

I recommend the training program 100%. Jessica and Shaila are very nice and helpful. They introduced me to the e-collar and it has been a life savor to my GSP always looking for troubles but at the same time provides freedom to her. I feel relieved knowing that Gala (her name) will comeback every time I call her and she will sit by my side waiting for instructions. She still has a lot to learn but she is a work in progress and we will continue with sit means sit program. <3

I have been so satisfied with the training. The trainers are professional and helpful with all questions or concerns. My puppy has learned all the skills needed for me to have him in public with confidence. The group classes are so valuable for continuing his training and getting him acclimated to obeying while distracted by other dogs. The trainers are very safety aware during group classes and help with any training issues during class as well as being available for additional questions. I have access to group classes throughout his lifetime and can progress to his level of accomplishment!

We are very happy with our training with Sit Means Sit and Jessica. This is our third trainer and thankfully our last. We have a pit terrier mix. He’s overall a gentle giant and sweet dog. He does not like males so he won’t listen to them very well. It was like the Goldilocks story. Our first trainer was too aggressive with the training collar to where our dog was scared of it. Their training made him overly food motivated to where he was getting aggressive. Our second trainer was too docile and we learned a few things but it wasn’t enough. We were about to have a baby and knew we needed the best and the right training. We contacted 3 training facilities and SMS was the first to respond. One didn’t respond and the other recommended Sit Means Sit instead of taking the job. Yes, it’s expensive but I promise it’s worth it. There is also a discount for multiple dogs and they do home visits! We also have another terrier mix. She’s not aggressive but she is weary of new environments, other dogs, and can be easily overstimulated. We dropped our 2 dogs off for a full day of training. Just from one day we noticed a big difference. We then went to the facility and went over training ourselves. You have to fully commit at home as well. The process was harder on us as dog parents because we had to forget everything we had learned previously and do it the new way. But it works. Now when our dogs see their training collars, they wag their tails and get excited! They listen and mind. We have gone to group training and when we turn onto the road the facility is on, they wag their tails and get super excited. They love Jessica and everyone at Sit Means Sit! Jessica has come to our home several times to help us acclimate as well. I’m now able to walk them with ease, they stay in their “place” on command, and their overall demeanor is calmer. We are very thankful for Sit Means Sit!
