We would like to start by saying that I have had 2 guide dogs in my life. So, we know what a joy it is to have a very well behaved dog. When we brought our Cavapoo, Bailey, home; we both knew we wanted the best training possible. Boy, were we ever lucky to find Sit Means Sit in Post Falls, because we got what we wanted, and more!!! Our first appointment was a free consultation where the trainer asked questions about our lifestyle, what issues we were facing with Bailey and what our future goals with him were. They evaluated our dog’s behavior and based on that information, the trainer recommended the day training program to start after our puppy lessons were done. The most immediate issue was potty training; we struggled with him having accidents in the house. When we reached out, Sit Means Sit scheduled a free extra lesson where they came to our home to help us with that issue. We’ve continued the program thru the year and we are so happy with our dog’s progress. Because of this training, Bailey passed his ‘Canine Good Citizen’ test. We’re having a blast with all of the additional fun stuff we are able to do with him! We do plan to sign up for another year. Bailey loves going to group class; he gets so excited and can’t wait to get out of the car when we arrive there. The group classes are held at the training center, inside stores and also on walking trails and at parks. When we need extra help, all we have to do is reach out and schedule free extra lessons. You can’t beat this. The team at Sit Means Sit are patient, and they love what they do. It is absolutely amazing how much they know about dog training. Sometimes just teaching a dog a very small piece of the puzzle makes a huge difference in the whole scheme of things. I cannot recommend Blake our dog trainer highly enough. We started working together when our two dogs were aggressive toward each other and frequently fighting, which made everyday life stressful and unpredictable. From the very beginning, our trainer was patient, knowledgeable, and incredibly encouraging. Through consistent training and clear guidance, we saw transformations we honestly didn’t think were possible. Our dogs learned to walk calmly together, heel, stop on command, and even walk on a treadmill. They also overcame their fence fighting behavior and can now remain calm and focused outside. One of the most impressive milestones was seeing them become comfortable enough to do activities together like stand-up paddleboarding. What once felt chaotic and stressful has turned into something fun and enjoyable for all of us. Most importantly, our dogs have learned how to coexist peacefully and have become more loving, obedient, and confident. The improvement in their behavior and relationship with each other has been life-changing for our household. I cannot say enough good things about Sit Means Sit dog training. From start to finish, the entire team was attentive, knowledgeable, kind, and truly went above and beyond for both my dogs and my husband and I. We first brought our Golden Doodle to Sit Means Sit because he was jumping and pulling on the leash. Blake, Cheyenne, and Juan trained him in a way that didn’t just correct behaviors, but clearly showed him what we wanted him to do. Just as importantly, they worked closely with me so I understood how to communicate effectively and support my dog’s learning. I never felt rushed or judged—only supported. The team went came to my home for in-home lessons, which made a huge difference. My ultimate goal was to be able to bring my dog to work with me at an elementary school. Blake even came to my school to work with us there and helped me get started in that environment. That level of dedication meant the world to me. Blake also set up weekly group training sessions where several of us practiced for the Canine Good Citizen test. Thanks to his guidance and encouragement, we all passed the test during the official testing session. Because of our incredible experience, we recently took our second dog through Sit Means Sit training—and once again, the results have been amazing.
