Sit Means Sit Dog Training Orlando

I really didn't know what to expect with regards to improvement with Marley my Cane. He was about a year and 8 months when he started, and he'd had some training prior, but needed quite a bit more. Since being at Sit Means Sit and working with Sara, his trainer, I have seen much progress with him in the past 2 months, and visiting the vet this past Friday, the progress was evident. He hates going there, and when unexpectedly another dog that was in full reactionary mode came within 3 ft of him, he growled, but did not lock and did not react like he would have prior to training. We still have a ways to go as he transitions into groups with other dogs, but I am optimistic. Thank you Sara, and thank you Sit Means Sit. The photo is him graduating from one on one training

I want to start by saying my dog is a mixed pit that I rescued in 2022. He’s incredibly sweet with people, but he always struggled around other dogs. Over time, his pulling got worse, and I knew I needed help from a professional. I tried food-based training, which helped a little, but it didn’t create the kind of progress I was hoping for. When I first came to Sit Means Sit for an intro session, I remember seeing a woman finishing up her lesson outside. As she was putting her dog in the car, she told me, “If you’re thinking about bringing him here—do it.” I’m so glad I listened, and now I’m passing that same advice along to anyone reading this: if you’re considering it, do it. It’s absolutely worth it. I chose the boarding program, where my dog spent one day a week with Sarah—who is truly amazing. The results speak for themselves. After just three full-day sessions, my dog was able to pass the test (which isn’t easy) and move into group classes. His pulling has improved significantly, and he’s much more responsive to commands. I noticed a difference even after the first session. One thing I do want to mention is that, as the owner, you need to stay consistent and practice what they teach you. The training works, but it’s not a one-time miracle—you play a key role in reinforcing it. I’m incredibly grateful for the progress we’ve made. I highly recommend Sit Means Sit, especially Sarah, and the entire team is friendly, supportive, and clearly passionate about what they do.

Our pitbull Rennie, was a rescue we have had for almost a year. She had a rough time with other animals and people she does not know. We put her at Sit Means Sut for their 15 day training class. She has a lot less stress and is able to walk around outside without wanting to growl or jump at animals or people. Sit Means Sit did an amazing job with her. They truly helped her find fun in her life instead of constant stress. Highly recommend to anyone who has a dog who is just not behaving properly or is not having fun in their lives. Terrific staff who give love and tenderness to the animals.
