Sit means sit has been so helpful to our pup and family! Put baby had some minor food aggression in addition to being very protective of our other dog because of a dog attack. Sam is our trainer and I cannot say enough nice things about him. He made sure to check in, answered any and all questions we had, was patient with our baby girl and had the best jokes. If you’re on the fence you should just do it! It’s worth every penny!

I adopted an adult dog with severe separation anxiety back in January. As a first time dog owner living alone in a small apartment, I was feeling overwhelmed with the responsibility I had taken on, and honestly hopeless as I tried to work through his separation anxiety on my own. I got my pup, Hal, enrolled at Sit Means Sit to help lay the foundation for the confidence he needed to overcome his social anxiety. It’s been about 4 months since he finished his board and train, and we’ve been working hard to help him feel more comfortable alone. I can now leave him for extended periods of time without destruction, barking, or any other mischief. His trainer, Ethan, has been a great resource for both me and the pup (not to mention Hal loves him), and has helped us work through so much. I could not recommend Sit Means Sit more!

We found SMS through a Google search after realizing our JRT mix reactivity can cause him to be put in danger, or he could end up in a fight, which isn’t good for anyone. We also wanted to add another dog to our family with the new knowledge on how to raise a puppy. He had zero social skills and would be triggered by anything moving and loud noises (myself at fault because I just didn’t take the time to do what needed to be done when he was a pup). We just completed our 4th session, and Chase has come so far after we added a puppy and signed him up for the distraction course. Our trainer, Matt, was amazing in working with Chase providing clear instruction and communication while working with us and ourselves little boy. Chase has some much-needed skills now at learning “place” and how to walk on a leash. He even let us clip his nails which is always a fight. Our two dogs get along now, and Chase has completely become a whole new dog! Don’t think this is some miracle training you have to be willing to do the homework and listen to your trainer practicing consistency with your pet and family . Hard work pays off, and we loved this place so much that our German shepherd starts her foundation course next week now that she’s old enough and vaccinated. your trainer and practice consistency with your pet.
