Where do your training lessons take place?

One of our biggest training philosophies is tackling any training issue at the root of the problem, which is usually away from the home under distracting environments. That being said, we encourage both private and group training sessions at our facility or in a public setting that we refer to as “field trips”! If there are specific issues at your home, we offer lessons there to tackle those specific issues. If you have more questions about our programs, give us a call or fill out the form on our website.

Does it cost money to meet with you all to see if you would be able to train my dog?

We offer a completely free consultation in order for us to get to know you, your dog, and training goals. From there, we will recommend the package that would be best! What are prices? To do this

Sometimes they do have a coupon in the clipper flyer. Prices vary depending on the package. A couple hundred to a thousand dollars. I had a very aggressive dog and he did wonderful with Sit Means Sit.

After living with our pony sized dog for a year of jumping, pulling, barking at everything that moved, and counter surfing we decided to schedule a consultation at Sit Means Sit. We were hesitant because we know their training comes with a higher price than we wanted to pay. Now we are only wondering why we didn't do it sooner. Ned has spent three Fridays with different trainers and we have already noticed a huge difference. What's even better than that? He isn't finished with his training. We will now attend classes to further his training and know we will continue to see improvement.

I can’t say enough good things about Sit Means Sit Dog Training in Syracuse. I brought my 15-month-old Brussels Griffon, JoJo, to meet with Cam for their 3-week one-on-one program, and the results were truly incredible. JoJo went into the program nervous and scared around strangers and other dogs. After just three weeks, he came home the happiest, most confident dog. The transformation was amazing to see. I feel so lucky that JoJo was paired with Cam. Cam treated JoJo like he was his own dog and kept me updated throughout the day with training videos and photos, which I really appreciated. By the end of the program, Cam even had JoJo walking off leash, something I never thought possible! The entire staff and program exceeded my expectations. I’m beyond impressed and so grateful for everything they did for JoJo. I would absolutely recommend Sit Means Sit to anyone looking for professional, caring, and effective dog training.

So grateful to everyone at SMS Syracuse; best decision/investment I've made all year! I was losing sleep worrying that my new rescue dog was untrainable. He was out of his mind on walks, tugging, lunging towards other dogs and people, snarling at visitors to our house. We did the 3 all-day training sessions and time with my pup now is nothing but pleasure. Our whole experience with SMS was wonderful. The owner was welcoming and attentive, the facility is spotless, the trainers are priceless (special thanks to Justin for training me)! Highly recommend SMS

After months of frustration trying to walk my 7 year old rescue I took her to SMS for an evaluation. I signed her up for lessons, once a week for 3 weeks. The only bad part was waiting for the 1st lesson. But we just had our 1st session & I feel like I have a new dog. I know e collars can have a negative opinion but SMS collars provide a vibration and not a shock. I would never do that to any animal. During the day I got videos of my dog (Bella) which showed a happy dog doing as instructed. The trainer also checked in with me the following day to see how Bella & I were doing. I wish I hadn’t waited so long to bring her to SMS. If I had a puppy it would be at SMS for training.
