Sit Means Sit Syracuse specializes in off leash obedience to the Syracuse and Central New York area. We have a variety of programs including private lessons, day train programs, and board and train programs. We also offer group classes and agility classes.

One of our biggest training philosophies is tackling any training issue at the root of the problem, which is usually away from the home under distracting environments. That being said, we encourage both private and group training sessions at our facility or in a public setting that we refer to as “field trips”! Does it cost money to meet with you all to see if you would be able to train my dog?
We offer a completely free consultation in order for us to get to know you, your dog, and training goals. From there, we will recommend the package that would be best! Sometimes they do have a coupon in the clipper flyer. Prices vary depending on the package. A couple hundred to a thousand dollars. I had a very aggressive dog and he did wonderful with Sit Means Sit.

My husband and I were very impressed with the owner Dave, as he took his time during the consult and explained the entire training process. He went through each and every one of the questions I wrote down.
We met Isabelle and Nick for our drop offs, which they are great as well! At each drop off, they would ask how everything was going and if there was anything specific we would like them to work with. We loved seeing the videos they would send of the training sessions.
Justin was our trainer we met at pick up, as well as our house call session. He is absolutely incredible! He not only has a great connection with dogs, but is able to communicate so well to us as the owners. He is very personable and able to explain what our dog is feeling through actions. Our puppy had no issues with “stranger danger” with him! He also gave us so many other tips and tricks to help with training. He is very knowledgeable about dog training.
Overall, we are very impressed with our training experience, and can’t wait to continue with group lessons. The other great thing about Sit Means Sit is we have life long lessons. If at any point we need assistance with anything, all we need to do is call them up and schedule a session. We can even send texts if we have a quick question.
Our puppy is improving and gaining more confidence. We know this isn’t a quick fix, but can already see a difference.

Finley was constantly pulling on the leash, barking and jumping at everyone, at times I felt overwhelmed by his actions. Now he’s a changed dog who will walk off leash, sit when told and obeys commands!! You can see the passion and love Isabel, Cameron and Justin have for the dogs! We loved the videos Isabel would send us during Finleys training! I would highly recommend Sit Means Sit .

She also knows boundaries and has better listen skills. Still is a work in progress but all things in life are. It's something you have to want to work on with your dog. Like working with Joanna. Justin and Nick are the best. The whole team here took in our 2 German shepherds and to say the difference has been life changing is not giving them enough credit. Look no further for the best dog training facility under the sun. 10/10 recommend
