Sit Means Sit Dog Training Waukesha

This is older, I was appalled to say the least. This man was asking for roughly 4gs !!! What! He brought his dog to show us examples of how well a trainer he is, this is where my tears came, watching his dog with a very tight collar, eyes bugging out of his head because he was being electrocuted into submission. This dog was petrified and looked like a robot. The thought of leaving my dog and mind you a Rottweiler that you know is tough, but the thought of leaving my dog there’s made me Ill, literally. No go for me!!!!!

I've had a great experience with Matt and his team at Sit Means Sit in Waukesha. I have a 1.5 yr old goldendoodle, who was extremely reactive, and seemingly aggressive to both people and dogs she didn't know, even at multiple blocks away. She'd go crazy, lunging, growling, barking, and wouldn't calm down afterwards for at least an hour; still being riled and on-edge. Even under calm circumstances, she would stand and bark at you continually, even after being fed, taken out, having water, played with, etc. I COULD NOT FIGURE HER OUT. I was politely kicked out of a previous basic training class because she was so reactive, and the trainers decided she was too much of a bite risk. She had not (and still hasn't) bitten anyone. I came to Sit Means Sit, not knowing what to do if this didn't work. I was initially somewhat unsure about the price, being around $3000 for one-on-one classes with me and my dog. However, Matt made arrangements to get us started quickly, and accommodated my schedule, as I couldn't attend training sessions when they'd typically have classes. We saw results after the first session. We've now finished with one-on-one classes and started with group classes, and I was BLOWN AWAY at how well my dog did the very first group class. In a room with 10 other dogs and almost twice as many people, and we got a total of 3 barks the entire time. She was focused and calm, and did what she was told. From a few months ago, when she would literally not lay down for more than 3 minutes, because she didn't know what to do with herself, to now being able to follow commands, calm down within seconds of seeing new people, and look to me for guidance instead of losing her head, the price was well worth it. She's not perfect (yet), and we're continuing to work on multiple commands. But I know we've made progress when my family now remarks "Wow, it's like she's a normal dog now!"
