Sit Means Sit Dog Training - Western Chicago

We found ourselves in need of a dog trainer when we adopted our last fur baby (Oct 2019). I saw an ad on Facebook that resonated with our needs, I sent a private message and Melanie responded right away (on Sunday), she went over some basic questions with me and set up an appointment with the owner Kerrie. Kerrie responded on time the day of our appointment and went over our expectations and needs, she recommended a training plan designed especially for us, and got us right in the later part of the week (right before thanksgiving) Kerrie came on time with the training equipment (included in the price), and brought Bobby, Kerrie completed the initial training with Watson and turned the training over to their field trainer Bobby. Bobby has been on time or early for every session, he is excellent with the dogs, Bobby is kind, and definitely knows what the dogs need. We appreciated their service so much that we just hired them again to train our newest addition Leroy. My husband and I cannot really say enough nice things about sit dog sit, not only do they do the training but the price includes group trainings for life. Bobby and Kerrie do not come to your home to waste your time, they come complete their business take care of any questions concerns, do their training and continue on their schedule, they realize that people are busy and their time is important. Not only do you build a Relationship with all of them, they have a network of other customers you meet and have contact with during the group sessions. I have never reached out to them and have been answered right away..THEY ARE COMMITTED to their business. They are awesome, I cannot say enough nice things about them, but also their work, it made all the difference in our new babies.. I highly recommend them.

Our dog had stranger/fear aggression that was limiting our ability to give him an active lifestyle by going to dog parks or out in public. We also couldn't have friends or family over without him causing a scene. Kerry and Bobby did an amazing job with our dog and he now can accompany us out in public and we can have guests over. We are so grateful to Sit Means Sit and love that everyone can see the dog that we love for who he is now!

We were very lucky to have found Kerry and Sit Means Sit. We found ourselves in a situation where it seemed like the only solution was to rehome our dog due to aggression issues. As a last resort, we contacted Kerry and she came to meet our pup. Our dog did a board and train and Kerry kept her for as long as necessary for Brienne to start showing signs of improvement. It’s clear that each dog she helps is important to her and while Brienne is still anxious, she has come a long way to find a playful, silly side of herself that we never thought we would see. Kerry helped us understand Brie’s anxiety and she does wonderful with commands. We were able to turn our home into a safe haven for both of our dogs and that wouldn’t have been possible without Kerry (and Bobby too, of course)!
