Sit Means Sit - Massachusetts

UPDATE: I wanted to provide an update now that it has been a few months since Banks' initial training. Just last week, he joined me on a PACKED beach completely off leash. He didn't approach a single person unless I gave him the green light. The self control he displays now is simply impressive. I am so excited to enjoy more activities like this, this summer with him! INITIAL POST: My sweet, crazy boy Banks just turned 1 years old. Although I did my best to teach him his basic manners, I knew I needed additional help with his (selective) listening & off leash skills. Dave was truly genuine right from the beginning - he wanted to address each and every behavioral concern I had. As soon as I dropped him off, I received pictures of all of the progress he was making throughout the day. Not to be dramatic, but it has been life changing for our family. He now walks right beside me without pulling, can play at the dog park off leash with complete control and recall, I can sit and enjoy dinner at a public patio, and family/friends can come over to a calm and collected pup. Banks is still his happy and goofy self, but with self control. I can't recommend Dave enough. As if we couldn't love our 4 legged best friend Banks enough, this makes it even easier for us!

This was our second time working with Dave at Sit Means Sit, and once again, he exceeded our expectations. This time, he helped us train our 9-month-old Golden Retriever, and the results have been incredible. He took the time to explain not only what to do, but also the logic behind the training methods, which gave us the confidence to continue reinforcing everything at home. Throughout the entire process, Dave was patient, encouraging, and always willing to answer any questions we had. No matter how small the concern, he made sure we understood the training and felt supported every step of the way. It's obvious that Dave genuinely cares about both the dogs and their owners. He truly wants you and your furry friend to succeed, and his passion for what he does shines through in every interaction. We couldn't be happier with our experience and highly recommend Dave and Sit Means Sit to anyone looking for exceptional dog training. Our dog decided years ago that he was not a fan of other dogs. Then we had an incident with a neighbor dog that was pretty scary. We signed him up the next day for training with Dave at Sit Means Sit. 3 sessions in and he is a new dog. We were looking for our dog to not be “dog aggressive”. But he is so much more than that. He knows what is expected of him now, and I swear he is happier for it. And now, because he’s happier and more confident, we bring him more places. We are extremely thankful for the training Dave not only gave the dog, but also us!

I can't believe the difference in my Millie. She was completely untrained and is 5 years old. Dave has taught me so much on how to handle Millie. Not only does he train the dog, he helps you understand how to continue developing your relationship with your dog. Millie would dig under my fence and bolt for hours and hours. Now, I can let her walk off leash at Lowes. Simply amazing! Best part is that Dave is always there for you texting and sending pics or whatever you need. This was one of the best decisions I have made as a dog owner. My other dog is next!
