FirstBarkJason has truly been the biggest help with our pup Tophie (pronounced as toffee). He really took his time with us and explained the context of each command so we could get better understanding and grasp the reasoning behind everything. I can’t recommend him enough. Sit Means Sit of Orange County specializes in dog and puppy training for the real world. Our experienced staff works well with dogs of all ages, sizes, breeds and temperaments. Our goal for our clients is to have happy obedient dogs with on and off leash control around severe distractions. In all our obedience programs we teach the basic commands like come, sit, place, etc. We will also work with your dog on things like car manners, loose leash and off leash walking, and furniture rules. Additionally, we teach how to stop nuisance behaviors like jumping, digging, and biting.

A premier program. In this program, your dog will stay in the care of our staff at our training facility. During their stay, your dog will be training daily with our professional dog trainers. Your dog will quickly learn the commands we teach in the Obedience Training Program.

Our Group Training Program is unlimited for the life of your dog. Clients must first train in the Private Lessons Program or a Board and Train Program before being graduated to Group Training. Once ready, clients can come to as many group classes as they want for the life or their dog.

We worked with Ryan and from the moment we met him, it was great vibes, he did an excellent job of explaining all the options and what we should expect. We went with the boarding and training program while our family was on vacation and Ryan provided frequent update messages, pics and videos. When Freddie was brought back to us, the improvement in his behavior and listening to commands was mind blowing. He’s still the same fun and loving dog he was, just a much better listener and has some manners now. We are extremely satisfied with our decision to work with Sit Means Sit OC and Ryan was the perfect fit for training Freddie.

We enrolled our two Labradoodles, Bailey and Cosmo, in the 20-day board and train program at Sit Means Sit OC, and the results have been amazing. Before training, walks were stressful. Both dogs were very reactive around other dogs, with lots of barking, lunging, and leash pulling. We had tried other training programs, but even high-value treats couldn't get their attention once they became fixated. During our consultation, Cindy took the time to explain the program and answer all of our questions. We were initially hesitant about e-collars, but after Cindy explained how they work and let us feel the stimulation ourselves, we realized they were nothing like we had imagined. They are simply a communication tool and not meant to hurt our dogs. Chris and Ryan did an incredible job with Bailey and Cosmo. Their behavior, focus, recall, and leash manners have improved tremendously, and walks are now much more enjoyable. What we love most is that the training doesn't stop after the board and train. The follow-up lessons are invaluable because they teach us, as dog owners, how to continue the training at home. Daniel was fantastic during our one-on-one sessions, helping us with any concerns and teaching us how to properly use the e-collars with confidence. Everyone at Sit Means Sit OC has been kind, professional, and genuinely invested in our dogs' success. We highly recommend them and look forward to attending the group classes. Our dog worked with Jason on his reactivity and leash skills for a 7 night board and train and even just being home for one day now it’s a night and day difference. We are excited for what the private and group lessons will continue to do for our pup as we prepare to bring a baby home this fall. Highly recommend this program!
