I have a alaskan husky approx 2 yrs old he is a pound rescue and have had him a year and a half he is a great dog but I just can't figure out his motivation factor he is not food or treat motivated i still can't get him to come most times refuses to sit or stay the basics let alone off leash training

Sit Means Sit is an amazing community! When we got our dog, he was already a good boy at home but needed help with certain things like reactivity to others, walking without pulling and we wanted him be an off leash dog. When we met Amy for our initial consultation, she mentioned the therapy dog group called The Go Team and that Bear, our dog would be a great fit! Luckily, he went through the Sit Means Sit program and easily passed the Good Canine Citizenship exam and passed the exam to join The Go Team! Wow, what a wonderful adventure it has been and continues to be with Sit Means Sit!! Thank you Sit Means Sit for helping us get bear to reach his potential! We are grateful for the families and dogs we have met through your training program, that are now lifelong friends!
TL;DR Sit Means Sit helped us so efficiently with Bear and gave us a team that was always available for advice on how to further train our dog. They are so uplifting and helpful; basically some of the best people we have ever met!

When getting our Husky puppy, we knew right away that we wanted to start training as soon as we could. We decided to go with Sit Means Sit because of their excellent reviews. We are so happy we did! Kyle, Frank and Aaron have all been nothing but amazing. You can tell immediately how much they love their job and it shows through their passion and commitment. It has been 3 months and we have learned so much and feel confident socializing our dog in environments we wouldn't dream of doing with our older dog. They encourage us to bring our teens so they too could learn as well, it truly is a family affair. I love that they also reach out to you to see if everything is ok and if there any questions you may have. They encourage additional one on one training or refreshers if needed. We are so happy with the guidance that we see thus far with our puppy. Our journey with Sit Means Sit has just begun, we are excited to see how our puppy will progress over the next few months.

I have sent both my dogs to sit means sit. I originally sent my reactive pitbull and had great success. When I took in an abandoned Rottweiler Mastiff puppy I got her into the program at 6 months. Both dogs are more manageable obedient. The staff is great and always very helpful. I highly recommend them to any dog owner.
