From the very beginning, I entrusted them with my Siberian Husky puppy at just 12 weeks old. Anyone who has ever loved a Husky knows the challenges: boundless energy, stubborn independence, and a flair for mischief. Sit N Stay didn’t just “train” my puppy - they completely shaped her into a well-mannered, confident, happy companion. She went from a wild little ball of fur with selective hearing to a dog who responds beautifully to commands, loves working with me, and still keeps her joyful spirit. The results were nothing short of outstanding. She is now referred to as a 'Unicorn-husky.' But what really sealed Sit N Stay in my heart forever was the way they handled a rescued American Bully who had been abandoned by a famous local MLB baseball player - literally left behind at the academy’s door. Many places would have given up on such a heartbreaking situation. Not here. The trainers and staff poured love, patience, and expert knowledge into that dog. They turned her story from one of neglect into one of triumph. Watching her blossom - gaining trust, learning structure, and rediscovering joy - was one of the most moving things I’ve ever witnessed. That level of commitment and compassion cannot be taught; it has to come from the soul, and Sit N Stay is overflowing with it. The trainers are world-class - not only skilled in dog psychology and behavior but also deeply invested in every animal that walks through their doors. The facility is immaculate, the staff is professional and caring, and the communication is fantastic. I was updated regularly with progress reports, photos, and even videos so I always felt connected. Sit and Stay Dog Academy is the best of the best. I’ve known them for over a decade, and they’ve trained my dogs in the past—never once have they disappointed. This is a top-notch operation with countless years of experience. They’re disciplined, dedicated, and take training seriously. Alexis is one of the best trainers I’ve ever met—not just because she’s amazing at what she does, but because she genuinely loves animals in a way that’s rare to see. This place really is a game changer for my miniature bull terrier, Rudy. This is his fourth trainer. He was put on medication by one trainer. Another used a shock collar. A third used treats to get him to listen. Clark and Lexi at Sit N Stay Academy understand what a dog needs. They do it all with a simple chain collar and leather leash. No treats! No shocking the dog! They use old school method of time and patience. The dogs are not abused. The dogs learn their place in the pack. Our Rudy is very stubborn and rules our house. No more! He is finally learning at 5 years old that my husband and I are the leaders. Yes, it takes a commitment from us to do as Clark and Lexi instruct. We have already seen a difference in Rudy. Our fourth trainer is our last trainer! It's good to have them on our team! I would highly recommend this team to anyone who has a challenging pup!

I highly recommend Sit n Stay Dog Academy if you’re looking for a confident and obedient dog. They also provide convenient boarding, daycare and grooming services, all of which I recommend too! We took our standard poodle puppy, Lulu, for an assessment as we aspired for her to be a service dog, but she was exhibiting stubbornness, anxiety, and dependency on me, as a young puppy (traits that would never qualify as a service dog). Clarke explained why she was behaving like that and what they could do for us — he also told me something that I hadn’t appreciated — the work with the dog is actually the easy part, it’s the training of the human that is the hard and time consuming part! As I have a nurturing personality, it was hard to have my puppy in boarding for 3 weeks, but it was the best decision I ever made. When we visited Lulu, she was prancing with confidence and oozing obedience. She was also the exact same goofy, sweet and loving dog that she had always been — just better behaved! After a few classes while she was boarding, we brought home an immaculately confident and beautifully groomed puppy (highly recommend their grooming services too). Clarke came for a home visit shortly after we brought her back, and helped us establish the right routine at home for Lulu (Standard Poodles are highly intelligent, so believe me when I say she tried to go back to her ‘old ways’ when she was in her old environment). We were encouraged to attend the multiple class options they offer per week and although Lulu is only 6 months old, she is always complimented on how well behaved and confident she is. Whilst I’d say that their training with Lulu was complete within a few weeks, the team is super patient with their weekly training of ME. What I love about the program is that their package includes unlimited group classes and home visits (and even redoing the boarding training if needed). This allows me to ensure I am held accountable for Lulu’s obedience and confidence, and can always call or text if I need advice on anything regarding Lulu’s behaviour.

I’m extremely thankful for sit n stay for helping me with my once reactive pit bull . I got a puppy at a young age without doing the proper research. I was doing all of the wrong things with my dog . I was rough housing with him, teaching him to tug on rope toys, taking him to dog parks and letting his ‘play’ get way out of hand . I had no real idea what constructive structure he needed. I also talked to him all day long at the wrong moments. Shortly after my consultation (which was free by the way) with Shalli and Clarke Inghram they devised a plan for me and my dog Ares. The board and train program was what my pup needed . After a week they let me come work with him once a week. Let’s be honest he was bonded with his trainers during the consultation. I was worried my dog would have issues bonding with anyone since I didn’t introduce him to many people . He had previously nipped at guest in my home which is what concerned me and made me seek professional help for him. As I have already had one failed trainer before sit n stay. I didn’t want my dog to be another statistic for his breed. I realized the issue wasn’t my dog it was me. My dog had an association with me to try to treat me like another dog. I allowed him to do things to me prior to training that I had no idea was control until Shalli explained the dog psychology to me. Now I can off leash him real life situations and can call my dog more than 50 feet away and my dogs goal is to get to me as quickly as possible and do his happy sit for some pets. My dog still comes for daycare and I’m thankful that they offer this because nothing means more to me than seeing how happy he gets when he sees familiar faces out the window once he knows where he is .
