Skye's Dog Training

I love skye! She is very knowledgeable about dogs! She is a literal dog whisperer. My mom took her puppy to skye first and told me how wonderful she was. I had been looking for a good trainer for my two crazy doodles. I went to other trainers with no luck. One of my dogs is very hyper-reactive to other dogs and “aggressive”. (We are currently working on this now) I thought our days of meeting other dog friends was over. After a private session i learned that my doggie Frankie was not mean he was just anxious and needed some way to cope! She restored my hope and gave me tools that actually work to control my pups! I am now able to effectively communicate with my fur babies in the way that we both understand. She always communicates back when I have questions. She’s truly amazing! And my dogs also love her!

I have now taken two dogs to Skye for training, and I've had an incredible experience with her! With my first dog, a terrier named Chip, I was with Skye from the beginning of his training journey. We started in the beginner class and made our way through five different group classes total. She was very attentive and did great explaining everything in a way that I could easily understand as a first-time puppy owner. Chip excelled in her classes for the time we were with her and passed her public access class to become a trained service dog. Every challenge I had, she had a solution to. After a terrible experience at our college with dog attacks and an abusive roommate, Chip came back to her classes to work through his newfound reactivity, and though he would bark and lunge at other people, he still adored Skye. I ultimately had to take him to a trainer who specialized in reactivity and wash him out of being a service dog, but Skye was incredible for his whole journey. After I got my golden retriever, Aengus, I did most of his training on my own before signing up for some private lessons to go over tasks I was having trouble with. In twenty minutes with Skye, Gus had mastered a task I'd been trying to teach him for months. In only our first session, she helped me find exactly what was going wrong and gave me a simple solution to fix it. I really appreciated how she went into the why and how of different techniques we would use, because I felt much more prepared to handle trouble on my own after learning why she was doing different things, and I've been able to mostly troubleshoot things on my own. Skye is an absolutely phenomenal trainer, and I would trust no one more to make sure my dogs have the best possible experience with their training. I can't wait to go back for more lessons and classes!

Skye’s dog training classes are great! Perfect amount of time, small classes, and great location! We signed our golden retriever puppy up to take all the classes during his first year. We are very happy with his success and improvements he has had after each course. He has come a long way! We get compliments all the time on how well he is trained. Skye is very knowledgeable and great at answering questions and teaching! Totally recommend using Skye, we had a great experience with our puppy Rudy!
