Skye's Dog Training

An affordable, great quality facility. Skye is so good to work with! I love her non-aggressive approach. She really knows her stuff and is a true expert with animal behavioral science. Her classes fill up extremely quickly because her services are in such high demand. I've attended Skye's courses with three different dogs, and she shows participants how to work with their own dogs on an individual level, and figure out what motivates each dog specifically.

Skye was fantastic. I took my 1 and a half year old GSP to Skye to work on her fear of dogs/people and her anxiousness. Prior to being referred to Skye by a friend, I had taken my dog to the local PetSmart where I was told she couldn’t be trained by them because she was too anxious and she would not be able to focus. After months of looking I was referred to Skye. I signed my dog up for the 2 hour orientation in early March. I learned so many tips and tricks to help minimize my dogs level of anxiety and reduce her barking. Not to mention Skyewas really welcoming and professional. She was great my my dog and provided clear information. I noticed a big difference in my dogs behavior quickly. I had become more calm and confident training her, as I now had the tools to do it. I signed her up for an additional 1 hr private session about 3 weeks later and we worked a little deeper on her issues. I’ve been so happy with the progress my dog has made and honestly I think my dog is happier too.

I took my foster dog of 3 months to Skye to be evaluated for being aggressive. I walked him around muzzled for about 15 minutes and then was asked to tie him to a pole. He remained there for 1 hr 45 min while the rest of the time was spent convincing me the rescue needed to put him down. He never growled, barked or showed any aggression. She never even came close to him.. It cost the rescue $220. She had already made up her mind before even meeting the dog. The rescue put him down the next week even though I would have adopted him and a sanctuary was willing to take him. He was 2 years old. This was not an "evaluation".

Skye is not just an amazing dog trainer, but a wonderful person as well. Dogs respond and gravitate to her energy. Skye helps build a reciprocal relationship of trust, respect, and confidence between you and your dog. My Maple excelled in Skye's therapy class and we were sad to have to disrupt our training due to an out-of-state move. However, Skye has continued to be a resource for and friend to us. Thanks Skye!
