Jonathan is truly a master of his craft. We adopted our German Shepherd puppy, Sugar, when she was about 10 weeks old. From the start, we enrolled her in puppy socialization classes and worked with another trainer. While that training gave us a good foundation, Sugar was still incredibly energetic and difficult to manage around our young kids. She was constantly jumping, knocking them over, and struggled to settle down. Thankfully, we found Jonathan. We enrolled Sugar in his two-week board-and-train program, and the transformation has been remarkable. She came home with reliable obedience, consistently good manners, and a much calmer demeanor. She now confidently follows her basic commands, does well around other dogs, children, and new people, and—just as importantly—Jonathan gave us the knowledge and tools to continue building on her training at home. We aren’t new to dogs or training. Sugar is our second German Shepherd. Our first GSD was adopted later in life and required extensive rehabilitation for reactivity, so we understand the time, consistency, and skill it takes to train a working breed. That experience makes us appreciate Jonathan’s expertise even more. If you’re looking for someone who truly understands dogs, communicates well with owners, and delivers real, lasting results, I can’t recommend Jonathan highly enough. Investing in his training has made a tremendous difference for both Sugar and our family.

We cannot say enough good things about our experience. When we first brought home our rescue dog, we were facing challenges that felt overwhelming at times. Thanks to his patience, expertise, and genuine care, our dog has completely transformed. He took the time to understand both our dog's needs and our goals, giving us practical tools and guidance that made all the difference. I have a Beaceron who has been in training for a year with little to no results. She jumped on everyone would not follow any commands if any distractions. 2 weeks with Jonathan and she came home a new dog. Listens follows commands and can just be chill and hang out with the family. Hes amazing and now I feel like we have the family dog we always wanted with out 1 year old pup. He does a fantastic job! Dropped my dog off a year ago when he was about 1 year old for a 3 week onboarding course. Very hyper and crazy puppy with basic commands. When we picked him up he could heel, stay in place, recall was fantastic and would listen on a dime. After about a year I dropped him off for another week as a refresher course as he struggled focusing on me around other dogs on walks. After a couple of followups in person we could pass other dogs with little effort. Recommend 10/10.

We recently boarded our Golden Doodle, Socks at SLC Dog Co and were incredibly impressed with the care he received. We highly recommend Jonathan to any dog owner looking for a safe and loving environment for their furry friend. He even went out of his way and continued giving our pup his meds to treat an ear infection. We couldn’t have chosen a better location.
