Smart Dog Training School

The Longobari family is so grateful with Smart Dog trainer Steve because he did an incredible job training our dog Kocoa. He was ten years old and difficult to handle his habits. He would bite us and he wasn’t house trained. Steve managed to do wonderful work with him and now he is house dog, he doesn’t bite or is aggressive. We are able to take him for walks and we have control over him when other dogs or cats are near. We’re very thankful.

Absolutely the best family investment we’ve made. Logan went from a pup that would constantly pull on a leash with no recall, to a dog that walks next to us unleashed (and runs around crazy when allowed). We are able to take him with us everywhere now; coffee, events, hiking, etc. He’s much happier and we’re much happier. Steve is incredible and a pleasure to work with. Logan fell in love with him almost immediately and was very excited to see him at refresher training. If you’re considering training, this is the place.

Steve is absolutely the best. I adopted a giant Anatolian/Great Dane mix from the shelter who is a great dog but very smart, stubborn, and had not been trained at all. At a year and a half he was a handful to work with on my own. Despite having significant experience with dog training, I learned just as much as my dog did during his time at Smart Dog Training School. They are extraordinarily dedicated not just to training your dog, but to their health and happiness. Steve’s dedication to each and every dog and owner is blatant. I went from an uncontrollable dog to an attentive obedient one, and after boarding training was complete Steve came and helped me establish ground rules at my home to get me and my dog off on the right foot as we transitioned him to training with me. I felt like I was set up for success, and he answered every question I had and encouraged me along the way. I cannot recommend this place enough. They won’t just train your dog, but they train you! And I learned even more about dog psychology and my specific dog’s psychology and how to handle him so that we can continue to bond through training and beyond.

When we first started, Lobo used to walk me… now, we walk together! 😂🐕‍🦺 And that transformation means so much to me. A special thank you to Steve and the entire team for always taking the time to answer all my questions and for scheduling training sessions at home. Being able to work through the day-to-day challenges in our own environment made such a huge difference. Overall, I am super happy with the results. I now have a well-trained, confident dog, and I honestly could not have done it without the Smart Dog family. You have not only trained Lobo, but you have also helped train and educate me as a dog owner. First off we'd like to thank Steve, he did an amazing job with our Doberman puppy. Our pup is now about to be 8 months old, he is very obedient and kennel trained, since our pups breed is known for their stubbornness, we knew training him wasn't going to be easy, but Steve got the job done. In this picture he has been ordered to stay in the down position & not move until called. He did amazing! I 100% recommend getting your dog trained with Steve!
