I am disappointed and sad this company has the do it their or they won’t help you attitude towards customers. The trainer is good. No problems with the trainer. It’s the training style we had a problem with. We have a 4 year old golden retriever that has anxiety to loud noises and sudden movements. They think a Prong collar is the answer to every situation. Before you contact this company make sure you are fully comfortable with using a Herm Sprenger prong collar.

Julie B. at Smarty Paws is the absolute best trainer anyone could hope for!! She not only teaches the dogs, but she teaches the owners as well. She is fair and honest in regards to the owner's expectations and explains her reasoning in a positive manner. If a dog or owner is struggling with something, she will work with them to find a solution to help them succeed. She is extremely knowledgeable not only of training methods, but of breed specific characteristics making her incredibly effective. I can't say enough about how impressive she is, she is absolutely amazing!!

I drove 2700miles to train my dog here! I put my fear reactive dog, Skeets, through level 1 before selling my house and leaving Vegas. (He got attacked 4x in 2 months as at 1 year old). He also did a few bootcamp classes before my trip. Just that first course made such a huge difference! I also learned a lot of things I was doing wrong. Skeets improved so much in the first course! I traveled back east with Skeets and tried one other trainer in Boston, and talked with more, and none impressed me. So I decided to drive 2700 miles back to Vegas and stay here for the winter specifically so I could put Skeets through more training with Julie & Smarty Paws! He just graduated Level 2 today and is already enrolled in Level 3. And I'm already looking at extending me trip further to get him through Level 4 and his Canine Good Citizens test!
