We did a great deal of research before selecting Smartypaws for the trainer of our puppy. We were not disappointed in our selection. Debra is the real deal. Her love for dogs and her compassionate and simple instruction was just what our dog needed. After each session she left us with tips to continue to work with our 9-month old Bella. She enjoys her training and continues to make progress. We are so grateful for Debra! Our family has two elementary age kids and this summer we adopted our first puppy. Before Bailey even came home, Debra spent time with me on the phone answering questions and offering suggestions and support to help us be prepared. Our in-person training sessions began soon after and Debra gave our kids, our puppy and us the education and tools we all needed to be safe and happy together! Her knowledge and passion for training dogs, teaching kids and supporting families has been invaluable. Debra is the best in the business. She treats you and your pet with kindness always. She helped navigate a newborn adjustment phase where we were considering getting rid of our pet. She made suggestions and helped us process what was going on. She provided unbiased expert feedback, and made suggestions against rehoming our pup.
