Social Tailwaggers Dog Training & Behavior Consultation

I adopted my puppy Elora Danan in 2023 when she was a little over 3 months old. She was a very happy, playful, and well-socialized pup. Last year she started to become very fearful. She was wary of going on walks without my other dog and easily scared of sounds and new things. Jody has been incredibly helpful in explaining Elora's demeanor and helping me understand what I need to do to help Elora have more confidence. Just sitting with Jody while Elora went through the Sensory Room was so eye-opening! With Jody's advice and guidance, my dog is going on walks again and I'm learning how to help her overcome her fears. Jody is highly knowledgeable about dog behavior. She's my go-to for dog questions!

We took our pup to Puppy Socialization and Basic Manners classes with Jody years ago and now at 6 years old, he continues to be friendly and excited to meet new people and dogs (which means a lot for a Shiba). We still use habits from the classes (like a place for calm waiting while we eat dinner). We're frequently told by our vet staff that he's the friendliest and most tolerant Shiba they've met, and I attribute a lot of that to our work with Jody to give him confidence and positive interactions early on. Highly recommend Jody's classes for fear-free, reward-based training!
