First big multi-day hunt in the books for my Chocolate Lab Sansa. I can not emphasize how proud I am of her. She is only about 8 1/2 months old and she stayed focused, diligent and had the time of her life. I may be biased but I think she out-hunted dogs 4 times her age with way more experience. She takes that with her in the field being the first to the bird and being athletic in the pursuit. At home she can't get enough belly scratches, and loves playing fetch and going for runs. Mike has now trained four of our dogs over the years. He is very knowledgeable and patient with the dogs he works with. Our current dog, Roin , an Irish Water Spaniel, was a major challenge. He taught both Roin and I how to be able to work both on and off leash and has made a compete turnaround in the behavior of our dog. I only wish we would have allowed Mike to work with him earlier, he is currently just short of two years. We have tried many other obedience classes, but none compare to Mike's. He is proficient in willingfully and happily teaching your dog his obedience commands, rather than by forcing him to do them. Mike took a lot of time training me how to work with Roin with his newly acquired skills and answering any questions that I had. His training of proper obedience and e-collar training for those emergency times that you may need it to save the life of your dog from getting hit from a car or from getting lost or stolen, that is if you do not hunt with your dog are invaluable. He has helped transform our dog to a much more relaxed, pleasant dog to live with in our urban environment and also I will be able to feel relaxed and confident that he will able to run and enjoy our place in western South Dakota without becoming lost. He has also provided me with the tools to help correct the nasty habits that he has developed.
