Sol Dog Lodge is proud to be a kennel where your dog will receive individualized care and attention. We are different and do not provide a “free for all,” we set expectations for the dogs in our care, and ask for and reward your dog for the same good manners you would expect at home. When will you planning on opening this new facility?
I'm so glad you asked! The new campus will be opening in February 2025. The first step is to move the grooming and training services from the current Thornydale location. Then, we should have the kennels installed by the first part of March. Our plans are to be up and running by April.

We adopted a 4 y/o rescue female Pit Mix from PACC last month. Our vet recommends aggression training and recommended Soul Dog. We are retired on a fixed income. What are your rates and would she board there or we bring her in for each session?

My puppy went for 4 days of training I would drop him off at 8 and pick him up at 430. But this was decided after an evaluation by the trainer. The do do boarding and also dog day care. I was extremely pleased and amazed at the difference in my dog after training.

Hi my name is Antonio and I was wondering did you guys get a dog that is a Siberian husky or just a husky all white with sky blue or kind of wihtesh eyes because my dog ran away and took off her coler so please tell me if you do or not. Thank you

Hi David, We have never had xoloscuintlis, unfortunately. And we don't anticipating getting any. That of course could change! You might check https://www.petfinder.com/dog-breeds/xoloitzcuintli-mexican-hairless/ to find mixes and possibly one that is purebred. ~Mary

Just boarded my dog for the first time - always nervous until my dog returns. Nicole Whittington checked him in. He trotted away with her, not looking back. Nicole sent me photos each day telling me Charlie was eating, sleeping and playing well. This place is great and Nicole is fantastic. This is definitely now our ‘go to’ boarding spot.
Sol Dog Lodge employees are very knowledgeable and really care about the animals. I have just started interacting but it is already clear how competent and caring they are. I am excited to have such an organization in Tucson.

I recently boarded my dogs at Sol lodge due to their good ratings and rewards listed on their website. They also were a smaller boarding facility so I thought it would be better for my dogs since they might receive more attention. I completely regret bringing them there. When I booked my dogs to be boarded I was never told that if I text them to see how my dogs were doing that it would take 4 hours or more to get a response. It was my first time boarding there and it was two days since them staying there. I wanted to see how they were doing because it’s a new place. I texted them at the number I was provided and didn’t hear anything for 3-4 hours. I called Shelly to find out why I’m not receiving a response and her response back to me was that they were busy training dogs and that they take a few hours to get back. That’s fine, but you should let the customer know that first of all when booking that there won’t be a quick turnaround in response. Second of all, it only take 2 min to respond to someone to let them know that their dogs are ok. I didn’t like the fact that if I wanted to check on my dogs that I can’t and that when I call no one answers. My husband tried to call Shelly to tell her of our concerns and she never called us back. The other thing is that you have to set up a “pick up time”. Well my flight was delayed tried to text them to let them know. Again no answer for 3 hours so I just went there to pick them up. I highly do not recommend boarding your dogs at Sol lodge. Maybe their dog training is better since they said that’s all they do but don’t board your dogs there.
