SOS K9 Training

I cannot recommend SOS K9 enough! This is the third trainer we tried with our dog and the only that we saw meaningful progress and success with. After a previous poor experience with board and train through another company I was hesitant to try again, but it made the most sense for our family while traveling. Melo and his team are trustworthy and communicative. They go above and beyond to make sure that you are comfortable and that your dog is having fun. They truly establish a relationship with your animal so that there is fundamental trust when their core beliefs are challenged or your dog is pushed beyond their comfort zone to learn and grow. My reactive and challenging dog LOVES doing sessions with or boarding with Melo. During boarding we get frequent photos and videos that show that our pup is safe, happy, and learning. The SOS K9 team is clear and patient, making sure that you and your dog understand exactly what is being taught, asked, and expected so that you can continue to successfully practice with your dog and reinforce concepts. Instruction is provided in person, in writing, and via video. They are just as focused on the human learning as they are the animal. They make sure to follow up with meaningful private lessons after boarding and also offer group sessions to continue learning and building skill free of charge. Our reactive dog now gets compliments regularly for how much calmer he is on walks and has even navigated two off leash dog encounters without escalation. These are things we were struggling with daily before training with SOS K9 and it’s great to have a trainer that celebrates those wins and that progress just as much as you do. I confidently and regularly recommend SOS K9 to family, friends, and strangers on the street because they have made such a positive impact on our dog and family.

My dog and I had a great experience with SOS K9. She was very responsive to her residency with them. Communication was amazing. I received daily updates, videos and FaceTimes. When she came back Rahmeloh took his time to explain to me what she had learned and why it works. My dog had less anxiety once she returned home and walked better on a leash. She also now responds to commands that I never imagined she would. We continued our lessons once she got back and can’t wait to go to the group lesson. I would rate our experience a 10/10.
