Sound K9

Words don't do my gratitude justice for how amazing sound k9 was to my dog, tumble, who's been completely changed for the better. I came away so much more knowledgeable then before it's mind blowing. The level of love, care and attention they showed my dog while they had him was nothing short of incredible. I thought my border collie/husky and I would never get the chance to have the adventures I dreamed about having when I adopted him, and sound k9 has giving me and tumble the opportunity to finally live life to the fullest for him AND me together on adventures. 100/5 stars if I could all day. If your looking for an amazing trainer, look no further, you found them.

It has been so rewarding working with Micah at Sound K9. Wally is an an 8 month old German Shepherd who was showing signs of dog reactivity, and I wasn't making much progress using the tools and training methods I learned from a prior training facility and other online resources. Micah’s expert guidance on how to train and play with a working breed dog has been invaluable after only three sessions. He has a depth of knowledge in dog behavior and works organically, based on Wally's needs and challenges. I went from being afraid to run into dogs on walks to walking Wally with confidence. I have learned how to meet Wally's needs through play (and train) sessions, and how to create clear structure at home....a win-win for the whole family. The cool thing is that I look forward to working with Wally because it's mostly play-based, and have the confidence with Micah’s support that I am doing the right thing. No doubt he would be helpful with other dog breeds as well--wish I could have worked with him and my prior labs as well! Thankful for finding him!

If I were only reviewing the dog training, they'd have five stars. However, I feel I can only give 2 stars because I was completely ghosted after my first set of lessons. I was told that the following week we could probably set something up, I said I'd look out for the email. It never came. I gave it an entire week, because we were out of town, and then emailed, inquiring about setting up another set of lessons. Days went by, and I never received ANY RESPONSE. I was extremely disappointed because the last session I had was really good, and I felt excited about continuing. We will be looking elsewhere for dog training, as they don't seem to respect my time.
