South Central Texas Dog Boarding & Training

Paul has an excellent training program that I highly recommend! We signed our pup Milo, 4 month old English Springer Spaniel, for his 4 week program. I had prior experience with 4 Springers never having issues with getting them to learn basics. Milo was a challenge as I had had difficulties in his training. We visited Milo a couple of times really pleased with his progress each time. Each visit I got to work a few minutes with Paul and Milo on his training as Paul also trains the human which is probably the most important part of the process. When we picked up Milo at the end my wife also went through a quick training session. Milo’s transformation into a pup that’s attentive, listens, follows commands, and seeks feedback was unbelievable! The training far exceeded my expectations! Now we not only do we have a pup that is eager to please, he’s also the same happy, playful dog he was just with all the bad stuff gone (jumping up, pulling on lead, etc). We also boarded him two weeks later for a week while we traveled and Paul continued to work with him. Thanks so much Paul!

My husband and I were very anxious about boarding our dog Lucky because he has a few unique personality traits and doesn't always get along with other dogs. Paul set our minds at ease. He answered all our questions before Lucky’s stay and communicated with us during Lucky’s visit. Sending us both pictures and videos. Lucky had such a great time at South Central Texas Dog Boarding and Training that he didn't want to leave when we picked him up. We will be using Paul again for boarding and sone training in the near future.

We adopted a 3 month old female labradoodle by the name of Josie. Right from the get go Josie was a handful. Josie’s main problem was nipping/biting. Anytime we let her out of her kennel she would jump and nip us. This caused a huge problem with having her assimilate with the family because Josie was about 40 lbs by the time she was 5 months. We tried several dog trainers in the Houston area but no of them were effective. I tried training Josie myself but i didn't have the time or patience. I had been researching for days on different methods of training and the consensus was its best to board and train. I came across South Central Texas Dog Boarding and Training (SCTDBT) online and decided to call Paul. After speaking with Paul on the phone I decided to have them train Josie. Josie spent 5 weeks boarding and training with Paul. Josie was so out of control we didn’t think the 5 week program would be affective. We got to visit Josie after 3 weeks and Paul basically went over the progress Josie had made and what we need to do once Josie comes home. Once the 5 weeks was done we went to pick up Josie and we were super impressed with the result. Paul really worked wonders with Josie. The nipping/biting has stopped. Walks with Josie are very pleasant and peaceful. The whole family can now be around Josie. Josie still has her lil wild side but the training Paul has provided makes her very manageable and pleasant. Paul is an amazing dog trainer and we will be forever grateful to him. Paul is an amazing dog trainer. Thank you Paul!

Paul did an amazing job with both of our labs! We brought our 4 month old lab pup, Aubrey, to him first to help us crate train and learn some basic obedience, we did the 4 week overnight training. We were so impressed with how well she did with him, we decided to board our 17 month old lab Cowboy with Paul while we went on a two week vacation to help us leash train and “calm” him down a bit & we boarded Aubrey at the same time. Needless to say, it was a full success during the 14 days we boarded them together while we were gone. We will continue to board both our Labs with Paul anytime we leave town. He truly loves working with dogs and is extremely loving & patient in his training program. And the facilities and his set up is perfect! ~Marc & Allyson Davis Rutersville, TX
