South Mountain Dog Training

We've had an excellent experience with Puppy Classes here- we will be continuing our training with this facility. The different times give you lots of options, even if you have a busy schedule. The staff are great at providing tips and tricks while helping you build a better bond with your pup. They really know their stuff, including how to get a stubborn puppy to try scary new things. On top of that, their prices are very reasonable!!

If I could give a thousand stars, I would! I called South Mountain Dog Training to help my dog adjust to our new puppy. My established dog was not happy with the new little bundle of joy and became aggressive towards him. We even had an emergency vet visit over a scuffle. (BTW, Quakertown Vet Clinic are angels!) I was put in touch with Pat Wotring, and I cannot tell you how amazing she is! With over 30+ years of experience with dogs, she worked her magic. By the time she left, my dogs were lying down just a foot apart. She gave us priceless tips, and now we have a different household! Super courteous, very kind, and professional. Don’t go anywhere else! Pat is fantastic! Thank you, Pat, I could never thank you enough!

After training 4 of my dogs at South Mountain over the past 20 years it was a no brainer to take my newest rescue Louie there for training. Not knowing what Louie had been through the first 6 months of his life since he was rescued from a Lancaster County Puppy Mill I had no idea what to expect. Half way through the first session Louie became overwhelmed and had a melt down. I spent the following week working with Louie hoping for better results in his second session. No luck, Louie was fine initially when we entered the facility but once again started to melt down as soon as other dogs began to arrive. Louie was immediately removed and I made the decision to discontinue training at this time. I made contact with the owner Larry and discussed Louie’s situation with him. Larry was very understanding and immediately had his head trainer Pat contact me. After a lengthy discussion with Pat we agreed on a plan for Louie starting with basic socialization and moving on from there. Within a week I received a complete refund from Larry.
