Working with Sandy greatly helped our dog become a happy member of our family. With many adults in the house hold the informational packet she provided helped us all stay on the same page in how we communicate with the pup, and this made training her a breeze. Our dog loved going to the group sessions and the only time she pulls on leash anymore (thanks to this training) is to get inside to see her other pup-mates. The training here is very personal and is really targeted to helping the dog feel confident and comfortable, with their health and personal challenges being the most important thing. Sandy communicates regularly outside of the lessons me and spent extra time the few occasions we had questions/concerns, and she was able to provide helpful recommendations on grooming and pet supplies past the obedience work that was expected. I will be returning here if I ever have any future concerns with my dog!

My wife and I rescued a bonded pair of dogs in early March. A 28 month old Cockapoo and an 18 month old Cavapoo. Both dogs acclimated well to our home and our routine. Being at home we had plenty of time to get to know each other. We did, however, have problems socializing them to the world at large. We found out quickly that we couldn't walk them anyplace we might encounter other people, other dogs, or pretty much anything that moved. Both dogs would completely flip out barking, screaching and crying until we could get them away from whatever caused them to lose it. Enter Sandy. We resaerched a number of trainers in our area, interviewing two including her. We selected Sandy because her focus was on the dogs and the behavior rather than on her program and the methods she employed. She asked great question and listened to us so she understood what we considered a well trained dog to be. She understood our aversion to using prong collars and other pain based methods and was more than willing to abide by that. Then she went about training us to train our dogs. It was fun for both us and the pups. We took care of correcting the crazy behavior in one session using a correction that didn't involve any discomfort to our dogs. Since then we've learned the basics of teaching and correcting our dogs. We're able to walk the anywhere now and we all enjoy it. We recommend Sandy (and Homer) without any reservation. She's a fantastic trainer.
