My Aussie Niko and I have enjoyed a number of classes at Southcoast Dog Training & Care. The classes are generously staffed so that everyone gets individual attention while we practice new skills. Patti and Sandy are able to cue into the individual needs and personality traits of each puppy or dog and guide the owner accordingly. Niko has matured beautifully. He loves the classes so much that we are "frequent flyers" and have taken puppy class, obedience, agility combined with obedience, tricks, and nose work. I highly recommend these trainers - certified by the AKC and able to train for service work as well as "Canine Good Citizens."

I’ve been doing dog training here for two summers now with my miniature poodle Mojo. I have done a lot of dog training In the area with a number of different places, and Southcoast Dog Training is by far the best. Mojo and I have done basic and level two Obedience, Obility, (Which is the most fun Mojo and I have had together), Add most recently the tricks class – – Mojo got his AKC novice tricks. What makes Southcoast better than the rest Is the extra effort they put in with your dog if you’re struggling to teach a behavior. I have to say that Patty in particular is the most patient trainer I have encountered — I never believed that I could ever get my mojo to play dead in the tricks class, but Patty sat on the floor with him and quietly and gently worked with him — repeating over and over and he finally got it! What a lightbulb moment for me – – I guess anything can be taught if you have the skills and patience and Patty and Sandy definitely have both. If you are looking for the best dog training in the area, Southcoast Dog Training is the place to go. You will not regret it!

We cannot say enough good things about Southcoast Dog Training and Care! Sandy and Patti are incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and truly understand dogs. As first time dog owners, we started coming here just after adopting our rescue puppy at 4 months old. Watching him become more confident, dog neutral, and well behaved has been a great transformation and training has been fun for both us and our dog. My husband and I are so grateful for Sandy and her team. Norma, our four year old German shepherd, needed a little bit of refinement on her manners before our first baby arrives at the end of the month. The time spent in the classes combined with consistency at home Norma has improved on walks, listening, and overall behavior.
