FirstBarkSouthern Colorado Kennel Club has been like a family to me and my dogs. We take classes, volunteer with helping with the dog show, we take classes to help our dogs to be therapy dogs. We go to fun activities there. It is not just an AKC training club, it is full of activities. The members volunteer their time to help people learn with their dogs.

About Southern Colorado Kennel Club
The SCKC is a member club of the American Kennel Club, and is dedicated to the appreciation of purebred dogs and to the education of the public in ALL dog-related activities. Obedience and handling classes have always been an important part of the kennel club. We also offer classes in Rally, Scentwork, Agility, Tricks, and Therapy Dog. Classes are held year round at the SCKC Training Center at 715 North Grand in Pueblo.

There were shows this past November with no problem; even with covid being a factor. I would say that there will be more shows this year as well.

There was nothing in regards to the bond with me and my dog in addition to I was told to do things that made my dog uncomfortable and didn’t seem necessary for them to simply learn. The puppy classes along with other classes we’re overbooked and completely chaotic

If your dog is reactive, skip this place! That dog received his certificate but mine didn’t receive anything not even anything that proved he was there! I almost left in tears a couple times so if they act rude at first it’s best to leave then.
