We didn’t know if our 5.5 year old dog could be trained, but when we met with Maddie at our evaluation and saw her work with him we knew there was hope. We did the leash and e-collar program and we have loved the confidence we’ve built. It gradually built up from learning skills at home to taking him in public using our training around other dogs. It’s given him more structure and in return more freedom! Walks are fun and we feel that we can take him on our Lowe’s trips. Maddie worked with us and was available for questions and helped us feel confident in ourselves to hold him accountable. Definitely will be reaching out to Southern Hounds if we ever add another pup to the family!

She took the time to really listen to my concerns and recommended the best training options for us. Maddie is incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and effective. She doesn’t just train your dog—she teaches you how to be a better, more confident owner and how to provide the structure your dog needs. Thanks to her, Cairo and I are back to enjoying walks and going on all kinds of adventures. Highly recommend!
