Investing in the program has been one of the best decisions we’ve made for our Dog,(a Heeler Mix) Benny. We learned so much from her during each session. After finding Roscoe as an abandoned one year old pup, we knew training was in order… we just weren’t sure to what extent. I reached out to Southern Hounds, and after a lengthy conversation we set up an in-home consultation where Maddie came over for an assessment. I was leery about giving him up to a board-and-train program, but she helped me understand that it was truly the best thing I could do for Roscoe - especially at his young age. (He’s a big guy and I wanted to feel confident taking him everywhere with me!) Maddie was wonderful while she had him for the month, constantly keeping me updated with photos and videos of his progress, and I was able to train with him weekly. I’m so grateful that he went through her program and is a “graduate” now!

We stopped taking Lemmy with us to places because he was scared, growly and snappy at people. After we started working with Maddie we saw an improvement right away. She was so patient with him. This picture is after the 3rd week in a crowded and loud Home Depot. We were shocked how unbothered and confident he was!! Maddie has helped bring our happy puppy back out of his shell.

Maddie is great with my dog Abby, but mostly she is teaching me to be a better dog owner. Abby is no longer afraid to walk in public places, she prances proudly right by my side. I highly recommend Southern Hounds!!
