We sent our 11-month-old Great Dane puppy, Dewey, to SP K9 for the board and train program, and we are beyond impressed with the results. He was away for about a month, and throughout that time, Ryan and Amy kept us updated regularly with photos, videos, and training progress. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was not only being trained but also truly cared for. Training Department: The transformation in Dewey speaks volumes about Ryan’s expertise. He came back so well-mannered! For example, we can now cook and eat an entire meal while he calmly entertains himself on the kennel, he stops playing and sits when the delivery driver walks across the yard, and his recall (which barely existed before) is now solid! We began meeting with Ryan and Dewey a few weeks in to learn the training ourselves, and Ryan was incredibly patient and thorough. Dewey clearly respected him but didn’t fear him — a really important distinction for us. Best of all, he came back with the same sweet, goofy personality, just with much better manners. As Ryan put it, Dewey was more trained than we were — so it was all about getting us up to speed! “Poop, Love, and Fun” Department: Amy was amazing at keeping us connected to Dewey while he was away. She sent tons of photos and videos, and it was so clear that he was being loved and cared for like family. We’ll absolutely be using SP K9 again and would recommend them to anyone. Dewey is already looking forward to his next stay in their beautiful new facility!
