Speaking K9

We recently rescued an injured abandoned pup. It wasn’t planned and we weren’t prepared for the trials and challenges that came. I really wanted this pup to succeed and have a good life together so I searched for professional help. We had a great experience with SpeakingK9. Shayley provided some private home lessons that really helped us communicate with our pup. She is very knowledgeable and professional. We also did a group class that was beneficial. Lindsey and her team are great at providing a fun, safe, and effective environment to learn many techniques & skills. Our pup Burrbun is happier, we have a much better understanding and relationship with him, and I want to thank Lindsey, Shayley and everyone on the team that helped us. I hope to do more classes in the future and would highly recommend SpeakingK9 to anyone seeking help & knowledge with dog behaviors.

We are very happy with the help we received from Lindsay Ellis and her crew at Speaking K9. She helped us turn our "teenage" Golden Cavapoo, "Mac," into a respectable citizen! She taught us that dogs just want to please us, but often they don't know how. By introducing commands, correction and rewards into their lives, they and we learn how to live together in a way that works! We now have a dog that minds us and works with us instead of "flipping us off" when we asked him to do certain things like "stay," "come," and "let's go!" Mac is a much better dog than we we started our class! Thanks Speaking K9 for teaching us how to do it!

K9 Speaking lives up to its name! 🐾 We’ve discovered so many new ways to communicate with Magnolia. Huge thanks to Aimee for boarding and training, Maggie came back so mature! And Lindsey has been amazing, guiding us through lessons and helping our 1.5-year-old Shepherd rescue work toward her AKC certification that she was awarded yesterday! We’ll definitely be back for more and already recommend them to anyone who notices Maggie’s great behavior!

We have now taken our Golden Retriever to both the beginner puppy class and now to the advanced class they offer at Speaking K9. To say its changed our dog for the better is an understatement. She is such a high energy and overly friendly dog with a tendency to have her ears turn off during excitement. The wonderful staff at Speaking K9 helped us learn how to manage those behaviors and work with our dog to learn manners and how to deal with her typical Golden Retriever tendencies. We love our dog, we love Speaking K9, and will always refer anyone looking for affordable training to go there. For reference, we paid $300 for 8 sessions. Best $300 bucks I've spent!
