Specialty Dog Training

I wanted a protection dog for my wife whenever she did remote work in unfamiliar locations. It would give me peace of mind when I’m not there. Cassie our dog’s trainer was so patient with us to get “X” trained and acclimated to his new home and new owners. She texted me with suggestions and training advice whenever I reached out. They also have a 3 day session at your home that was very helpful to intro the dog to us. After 3 months, I also vistes Cassie to get specialized work for X. He is a beautiful animal and I get constant praises for his looks and temperament. Gary K

Specialty Dog Training turned my crazy puppy Kiki into a well-behaved dog. After an initial consultation, the staff recommended I put Kiki in a four week program of boarding and training. Lucky for Kiki, she got the BEST Trainer EVER! Savannah really understands dog behaviors along with behaviors that are specific to different breeds. Kiki is a dachshund, which is a breed that can be stubborn. Trainer Savannah is not deterred by “stubborn,” she has a lot of patience and seems to be more determined than a dog! But she is also kind and gentle. Kiki LOVES her! 100% recommend Specialty Dog Training.

Savannah did an amazing job working with my dog Theo. Not only did she help correct some bad habits but she also gave Theo targets to meet when he left camp. She was able to check-in with us weekly to give us updates on his progress and send some pics of my baby. Since then, she has checked-in to make sure adjusting to life at home has been smooth. Really looking forward to our first virtual session! Can't recommend Savannah enough!

We took our two dogs to speciality dog training and they both worked with Andres. Our older dog is 10 and has had minimal training which was a challenge being that old but also had a behavioral problem with resource guarding. Our 3 year old dog had done a board and train previously but was still quite nervous in public and around strangers. Andres adapted his training to their individual needs finding what worked best for each of them. Once their 6 weeks were up they both had really good base training which gave us tools to work through their issues. The follow up sessions were great to come with things we needed help working through and Andres was always able to break them down and come up with drills for us to work on. Could not recommend Andres enough! There’s been such a difference with both of our dogs and now we have the training skills to work through any future issues.

We sent our new 10mo old pup to a board-and-train with Savannah at SDT and she did an AMAZING job! We have done follow up lessons on-site and also in-home to help us/him transition to his everyday life. Her depth of knowledge and experience helped us with taking our pup from a high kill shelter EUTH list to living his best life!🩷 Savannah is always ready to field a question and make sure I have the concepts from our lesson down!
