Stetson is the real deal! He understands what motivates dogs’ behavior and how to address challenging behaviors appropriately. We worked together for several months addressing my dog’s poor recall and the change has been amazing. I recommend him HIGHLY to anyone who wants to have a dog that listens and responds to commands! Stetson also helped my anxious, reactive dog be part of a pack. Notice the photos below of Maggie and the pack taken today!

Stetson trained us and our mini golden doodle over several months and sessions both at his backyard and then at a local outdoor shopping mall. Stetson clearly explains his training techniques in a way that we could incorporate in varied situations. He is level headed, clear and insightful about animal behaviors, plus he knows how to speak to us. Highly recommend him. Ziggy, our pup, is happy and grateful for the lessons Stetson imparted.

So we actually worked with Stetson at a different facility on the West Coast but I wanted to leave a review here to mention just how great of a foundation Stetson built for our GSD. We have a VERY reactive dog and he’s now been in BnT twice, but with everything Stetson taught him the first round, we were able to do our second seamlessly. He really cared so much about our pup. He ended up getting sick (no one’s fault & a quick recovery!) and Stetson went soooo out of his way to take care of our boy and check in on us even after we brought him home. If I’m going to trust anyone to leave my dog with it’s going to be someone like him who cares about the well being of the dog FIRST. I only wish he stayed in CA!!!

If you’re debating sending your dog off to a BnT just DO IT. I did my research on the breed of dog I wanted, but not enough research. NO ONE tells you how HARD it is to have a puppy! Let alone a WORKING DOG puppy. My partners and I were in way over our heads about 4-5months in with our Doberman. Right at 6 months we handed our baby off to Stetson for five weeks. Yeah yeah “five weeks!? I can’t leave them for that long!” Do YOURSELF, house, kids, family/friends, and neighbors a favor and give this team a go. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT. Sansa (our Doberman) came back well mannered, structured, ready to work, and most importantly focused. She no longer ripped apart our clothing or tried to bite us out of frustration. Stetson helped her focus on what and when to bite! He made her fearfulness of other dogs disappear. He helped us get our sanity back. Yeah it’s not exactly cheap, but I never get sick of hearing “wow your dog is SO well behaved”! Don’t be completely ignorant, you will also have homework of your own that will at times overwhelm you. But you invested in this dog! Be a good dog owner and do your best! You and your dog will thank you! Stetson and his partner put their hearts and souls in training your dogs! Their hard work and dedication gave us our sanity back. That. Is. Priceless.
