The training club does not follow American Kennel Club guidelines for positive dog training. We were in the puppy etiquette class at ST Paul Dog Training Club. In the 3 weeks we attended we did not get any handouts on what to work on during the week. They were promised from week 2 on. We even emailed the contact us from the web page and were told that we would be emailed and it did it not happen. The class felt haphazard and without instructions it was difficult to work on the homework outside of class. We stopped attending classes after prong collars were introduced as a requirement.

Called this place because I wanted my puppy to go here, no answer. Left a voicemail. Called again and left a voicemail and no one got back to me! How professional. Bringing my business somewhere else.

We all know that dog training is mainly for dog owners and helping owners convey their wishes upon our pets. SPDTC is great at that!! I've been to other places, but nothing has worked like SPDTC!! I'm a believer now!!

I've trained dogs with this club off and on since 1965. Yes, it's a club, not just a training school, with very hard working members who give a lot of their time. The trainers are experienced dog owners/trainers/exhibitors and the methods are a proven mix of old and new. Am currently working two dogs in different levels of obedience,, and one of them in Nosework and am completely satisfied with my instructors. Thumbs up SPDTC. You only get out of dog training what you are willing to put into it.
