We had an amazing experience working with Debbie for Marley’s training. She has a true gift for understanding dogs and being able to identify the intention behind their behavior, which made the training feel incredibly personalized and effective. What really stood out was how focused she was on making sure we were fully prepared and confident leaving each class. She provided practical resources, guidance, and clear steps we could continue using at home. One of the most valuable parts of the training was that she brought us into real-life situations instead of only controlled classroom exercises. That hands-on experience made a huge difference and gave us confidence in everyday environments we actually face with Marley. This was by far the most valuable dog training experience we’ve had, and we highly recommend Debbie to anyone looking for thoughtful, effective, real-world training.

I would highly recommend Rachel. Let me set the stage...we called in desperation as we witnessed our dog in real-time aggressively curious towards our newborn. We did not do a good job conditioning our dog before we welcomed the newborn into the house. Rachel was able to fit us into her weekly schedule immediately and we developed an easy protocol on Day One! From there, it took our dog less than 4 days for us to be comfortable with him in the house, and we are incredibly thankful to Rachel for her positive behavior modification methods. Now, we are still seeing Rachel developing additional improvements of our dog's behavior while simultaneously evolving our initial protocol to handle the upcoming growth stages of our newborn so we will always have a plan and methods to fall back on!

From Heather’s very first email, she was fantastic. She quickly understood what I needed and matched me with the perfect trainer, Rachel. Rachel is incredibly knowledgeable and has a real gift for understanding dogs with low confidence, especially rescues that come from difficult backgrounds. She’s helped my dog, who came to me as a stray with a rough past, come out of his shell more in just a few weeks than he had in the two years I’ve had him. Each one-hour session flies by because it’s such an enjoyable experience. My dog and I always look forward to them! We’re taking a short break but I’m already looking forward to booking more training sessions. I’m incredibly thankful to Rachel and the whole team at St. Pete Dog Works!
