St. Pete Dog Works

Thanks to Sydney and St. Pete Dog Works for an awesome 6 week AKC Puppy Class! The class was small and very responsive to our little guy's needs. Sydney helped us get Nux (pictured!) more confident with other puppies as the runt of his litter and we learned a lot about how to support him in achieving important goals like sit/down, walking on a leash, recall, and listening. We'll be heading back for other courses regularly. New update November 2025! We have taken two more classes with St. Pete Dog Works and continue to love them. The last two have been with the amazing Allison and our little man has grown and matured with these classes. More importantly Allison trains us how to support him at different points in his life. Thanks to Allison and all the folks there!!

I’ve been bringing my puppy, Vicente, to the puppy class at St. Pete Dog Works, and it’s been such a wonderful experience. The training has been incredibly useful. Not only have I learned techniques to help with my puppy’s personality, but also how to handle situations as an owner. Heather is amazing! She’s patient, kind, and makes sure everyone in the class gets equal attention, which I really appreciate. Vicente absolutely loves going to class. He gets so excited the moment he sees the building! You can tell he feels comfortable and happy there, and that says everything about the environment Heather creates. Vicente is on his way to becoming a service dog, and thanks to Heather and St. Pete Dog Works, we’re getting closer and closer to that goal every day. I couldn’t recommend them more!

I took my puppy to puppy foundations with Rachel. She's very knowledgeable. It was great being in a small class got a lot of attention good basics and assistance with puppy training issues. They help you all the way through. I even did a private session with Debbie Welsh at home prior to getting into puppy class and help me with my puppy and my senior she's awesome. You would be surprised what you can get done in an hour and I needed a lot of help with the new puppy. Thank you ladies?

As part of the 6 week puppy essentials course, my dog Thor and I were able to build a great foundation of obedience while in a controlled but fun environment of other puppies. With an excellent combination of early socialization and personalized training homework worksheets, I cannot recommend this class highly enough! I will be signing up and taking the next level of classes soon, and a few of his puppy classmates will be joining that next course as well.
