Stanfur'd k9 - Dog Training

George was highly recommended to me by my breeder, so I felt very comfortable leaving my new dog with him for 3 weeks to train her before I took her home. She is my first dog so I wanted to make sure that she was well trained. He did not disappoint! My dog is perfectly trained and I often get comments from strangers about what a good walker she is and how good she is with other dogs. Thanks George!

It’s clear George really knows dogs! He boarded and trained our dog and when she returned, she was much more responsive. Beyond just working with our dog, George took the time to teach us what to do (and what not to do) to reinforce the behavior changes at home — that piece made all the difference. Thank you to George for all of his hard work helping board and train our lovely and obedient, but very dog reactive and pushy German Shepard mix Abby. We had such a wonderful experience with George! We sent our puppy to him at just 10 weeks old, and from the very beginning, it was clear how knowledgeable and experienced he is when it comes to dogs and understanding their behaviors. Bit of backstory… our family dog, by about 6 months old he was basically running the house 😂. The barking was honestly the biggest issue. Every little noise, people walking past, dogs outside, deliveries… he’d just go off. On top of that he was stealing food off the bench, couldnt settle, and his focus lasted about 2 seconds. We tried everything ourselves, watched way too many YouTube videos, read forums, all that stuff. Some things helped for a day or two but nothing ever actually stuck and we were getting pretty frustrated. We ended up doing the 6 week board and train with Jorge at Stanfurd K9 Training and it was honestly one of the best decisions we made. What stood out first wasnt even the training itself, it was how much communication there was. We got heaps of videos, photos, voice messages and updates so we always knew how he was going. Jorge also seemed to understand our dog almost straight away… he explained why he was acting the way he was instead of just trying to “fix” behaviours. When he came home the difference was pretty crazy. Way calmer, actually listens, settles SO much easier and the barking is honestly only a fraction of what it used to be. The best part is it doesnt just end when your dog comes home. Jorge has still answered random questions we’ve had and made sure we actually understood how to keep everything going ourselves. It never felt like a “here’s your dog, good luck” kinda thing. Obviously you still have to put the work in at home, but now it actually feels possible.
