Star Dog Obedience

Our 6-year old rescue dog, Daisy, went to Star Dog Behavior for a 6-week board and train program. My family and I can’t begin to thank Lex and Dave for working with her (and more so, us!), taking her from being afraid of absolutely everything, to learning the entire world was not a dangerous place, and becoming confident in herself. We learned why Daisy behaved the way she did, and they taught us how to work together with her to achieve confidence in herself (and ourselves). All we wanted was to give this girl a happy life, but we did not have the tools needed to do so. She had serious trust issues, and their approach was kind and patient, and she began to trust them. They moved forward in training when Daisy was ready, not before. The communication them and us was excellent, sharing triumphs and challenges, discussing training options, etc. We also received a very detailed email about her progress weekly, which we have printed out for our reference. Another great thing is that when training is done, it’s not really over. We go to their weekly training classes whenever we can to reinforce what we have learned. They are still just a phone call away and we feel like we are not alone on this journey.
