Steady On Point

We all started this because we eanted a bird hunting dog. So we 1st brought our English lab (Luke) to Alan when he was 8 months old. Alan spent 10 minutes with him, came back and said (Hes got ot in him). We then took him back at 10 months for a 2 week obedience course. I thought to my self. (Obedience? Luke already behaves, and is potty trained , and does tricks,) well I can say after the 2 weeks I was impressed. Luke learned so much more. Luke could care less if theirs another dog. His focus is on you and only you. He sits their like a soldier. Luke knows where he can be cuddly with the kids and when its time for us to go to work Then came the 6 week bird training course WOW I recived videos every couple days of Luke's progress Luke turned out to be a natural pointer Luke will point for 4 seconds then flush them. After I shoot luke retrieves the bird brings it back and droppes it at my feet. Then heels to my left side and waits for the next command. Luke just turned 1 last week and is everything I could hope for. I have pros asking me for Alan otts phone number. Because they have never seen such quick and obedient. Turn around. Steady on point is the only place I'll ever recommend. Or take one of my dogs. I have zero reason to go anywhere else.

Alan did an amazing job training and caring for our English Setter puppy. She participated in the 2-week basic obedience program (6 months old) and then went back for 6 weeks and completed Hunting Foundations (10-11 months old). We are amazed with the results! Alan takes the time and dedication to meet your dog where they are at while getting them where they need to go. We appreciated the regular picture and video updates that were shared, as well as the open-door policy to come visit and learn/train alongside Alan. Steady on Point will be our first and only call for all board and train needs over our girls' life. It's so comforting to know we found the perfect home away from home for this bird loving jet engine!!

Alan is the real deal when it comes to training hunting dogs. His passion for dogs is obvious, and it shows in the way he works with them and the results he gets. You can tell he has years of experience and knows how to build a solid foundation the right way. He had my lab for just over a week and the improvement in his obedience was impressive. He came back more focused, responsive, and steady. Alan kept me updated with pictures and progress reports throughout the training, which I really appreciated. At pickup, he took the time to walk me through everything he worked on so I could keep the training consistent at home. He also sent a helpful guide with tips to make sure we stay on track. If you’re looking for strong obedience work and upland training, I highly recommend Alan. I’ll definitely be working with him again.
