Stephanie Bennett's Believe in Dog

I've been going to Believe in Dog since I first adopted Penny when she was six months old. When she started developing reactivity behaviors at around a year, it added a ton of stress to our lives. I can't even begin to express how much help the Reactive Rover class has been for us. There's still work to do, but we can now confidently go out on walks and be near other dogs. She's also become calmer around the house and tolerates activity out on the street much better than before working through the program. If your dog is at all reactive to people, other dogs, etc., do yourself a favor and sign up for Reactive Rover ASAP. The team is wonderful and it's so comforting to be working alongside other dog parents struggling with the same thing.

I took my dog Velvet for the typical problems associated with reactivity including lunging and barking towards other dogs, pulling on her leash, and other issues settling down. Stephanie and the whole crew are literally amazing, and offer the perfect balance or teaching you to build a strong relationship with your dog confidently, while also helping your dog learn to control their own anxiety. They started off behind barriers before working together with the other dogs-I started seeing results so quickly, but the most important thing is to do the homework outside the class and really set your dog up to succeed. The biggest takeaway for me was learning my dog is having a hard time but they are not intentionally trying to give us a hard time!!! One of the few places in Houston that does this type of training. Believe in Dog is the best thing we have ever done for our dog and for ourselves as dog owners.
