Stephanie Bennett's Believe in Dog

I recently finished 12 weeks of classes (Puppy 1 and Puppy 2) with my puppy, taught by Ashley and Jae. They were both so friendly and down-to-earth and distilled a large amount of information into practical, actionable training tasks that were easy to practice outside of class. Dogs, puppies in particular, are unpredictable and how they behave in class doesn’t always represent how they behave at home. Jae did a wonderful job of noticing the moments when owners were disheartened or disappointed and always had an encouraging word to share about what was going well. I first took classes at BIDT more than 6 years ago. The training philosophy and focus on relationship-building between owner and dog has remained remarkably consistent over the years, despite natural turnover in trainers, which is a testament to Stephanie’s vision and commitment to her team.

I genuinely cannot recommend Believe in Dog enough. As first-time puppy parents, Puppy Day School at BIDT was something we wanted for Solo even before bringing him home, and enrolling him was one of the best decisions we've ever made. What truly sets BIDT apart is their dedication and care. From the start, the trainers and staff have been so welcoming and are an absolute pleasure to work with. They've helped us feel incredibly supported and reassured during such an impressionable and vulnerable stage of puppyhood. Each dog is treated as an individual and all of the trainers are deeply thoughtful with every interaction. Their authentic passion for setting each dog up for long-term success is evident in their expertise and intentional, structured approach to positive reinforcement-based training. PDS and Puppy Class Pt. 1 have provided experiences for socialization in a safe, fun, and well-managed environment that go far beyond what we can replicate at home. It has been so rewarding to watch Solo have so much fun with his trainers and puppy friends, grow in confidence, excel in basic obedience, and see his personality flourish over the last 3 months - we couldn't be happier with his progress! Most importantly, it has been an invaluable opportunity to train us, as owners, how to create a lasting bond with our dog. We can't thank the team at BIDT enough. With their wide variety of different group classes and other training programs offered, we look forward to continuing Solo's training journey as he grows!

I had two dogs in classes at BIDT concurrently this winter, and it is remarkable the change I have seen in both animals. The training is easy, focused on positive reinforcement, and most importantly effective. I took in a reactive bulldog and a rescue bulldog with two very different needs and different training modalities. Both have graduated and we already signed up for more classes! We have been to many dog trainers over the years for various needs - this is the first one that clicked with our dogs, was fun for us as parents to be a part of, and made us want to continue different lessons to increase the quality of life in our home for our bulldogs. 10/10 recommend Megan and Stephanie. Also there is no better dog treat store in Houston, and no you cannot get what they have on Amazon-but your dogs will go nuts for their stuff.
